i have 165 hrs on the game, the base building is not as tedious as the other games. you can buy nails with money, or find them really abundantly in construction areas/those broken brick buildings you will also find alot of other stuff you need like wire and sheet metal there. plus you can get all your wood from 1 tree,(zzzzz) as far as base raiding goes, there is a chance when you die that you will drop a "raid token" which will then make you vulnerable to pvp but that can vary from server to server because they can set the % drop chance the boats are weird but cool?, you have to find them but once you do you can build a lock for them so people cant get into your storage, not sure if they can still ride off in it though...my guess would be no. but once the server restarts its gone, so i have mixed feelings on them lol. they tend to spawn at towns on the water but not so much in the rivers. i have spent alot of time just running around looking for a boat on a pretty empty server so if you arent going to be on for a long time they are kind of a waste unless you just happen to find one. the gun play has come a long way in the last couple years but what keeps me away from the game, is the crap AI. the harder the mission level the farther and more accurate they are, they will spin on you without turning and 1 shot you, and since they made the convoys like 15 dudes, its gotten worse because all of them will just lock on even through bushes..i was once building a base in the woods on a hill no where in view of the road but the convoy spawned 350m from me and bullets were hitting trees around me and could see nothing. same applies for the crashed heli event. im sure thats something they are working on, and they have added so much to it in 2023 so far but its got a ways to go IMO. its pretty tedious as a solo if you wanna just run missions and explore but it is fun to chill with some friends and shoot bad guys. and if you are mostly after pvp the bots being bad wont really be as annoying to you until you are trying to run back for your stuff when you die on a misson lol nice work on the video either way, man🤘

A friend asked recently if I had it, I checked and said yea, I got it as a gift in 2020, and only played 11min of it back then, just got on and it’s not too bad, definitely more there kind of game, Dayz was my game, but giving it a true chance this time. Had to see a review just to insure I’m not going in with straight negativity. ❤ the honest review.

Great video! The world of Deadside feels a bit empty right now, but hopefully the devs will stick to the roadmap schedule. This game has some great potential to become big. About the raiding : When you get killed, there's a chance that you drop a raid token. 'IF' you have a base ofcourse. Players can then activate this raid token and your base will be vulnerable for a limited time.

I’m new to deadside. And the one thing that I really like about it is it gives me somewhat of a tarkov feel without the in d depth that tarkov gos. Wish there was more of a player base though

Saw your video pop in my feed so started to watch it. Started deadside myself few weeks ago and been enjoying the game. Within the 1st few minutes of the videos you mention 2 keys things. Deadside is "soly based on PvP experience" and its more or less played by the Rust / Dayz community player...then you proceed to your review. At 4 minutes 30 you start to talking about raiding and you only played (your 25hrs) on a PvE server. You play the game how you enjoy it but if you gonna give your review based on 25hrs of PvE experience, you should advertise it as such.

I really like that Deadside is an easier version of DayZ.

I have 909 hours and i think the game still gives me Adrenalin kicks after i kill guys in a 1v4

This game is just Arma 3 Exile mod, missions, PVP, base building etc. Important to say, best players on EXILE pvp servers play +/- 8 hours a day :)

Did you ever notice how a lot of these games, in a LOT of details, tends to copy Dayz too much? To be different, they edit a few of the game mechanics and call themselves a different game. The building mechanic does need work, i agree. nuff said?

Honestly, I couldn’t relate more to you. I tried to enjoy the game and even though it does seem more interesting and enjoyable compared to DayZ. I just couldn’t get committed to any of the servers due to the building system. Way too time consuming:/

I hate the idea of ai soldiers.. if I get shot at I wanna know that it’s a player shooting me not ai. That’s what I like about dayz if I’m getting shit at it’s a player

700 hours played here. Played each year since launch. What the game is missing is armour. It’s almost pointless in its current state. Max armour will protect you from one shot gun bullet close range but any ar or smg will melt you like you have none on. And for the price of £80,000 per armour it’s pretty pointless for most players to use. You have to be rich and good at the game to wear armour. Next problem is the AI can see you through bushes in the dark while you are wearing camo 😂 they can get really annoying fast. Wall/window lag still a thing and can make sniping out of buildings frustrating at times. They keep expanding the map instead of adding new points of interest to the existing HUGE map. Next update is a city and that’s gonna be another expansion. They really have no clue how to make a map. Boats are good but so loud and on full servers it’s almost impossible to get in to the safe zone on one. Quad and bikes needed. Cars are not. The safe zone once allowed you to buy scopes. They removed that and now you have to use iron sights and hope to find scopes. Which are rare. It also once had controllable sway while moving, now you have to keep still while shooting someone. And the biggest problem... if someone is wall hacking you are absolutely done! The most pointless game to play vs cheaters is this one

Deadside sucks. The ai is the dumbest AI ive ever seen in a game, and one thing that really sucks, is LITERALLY the WHOLE map, is STATIC props, meaning, the props dont react to physics AT ALL... makes for a VERY fake feeling world. It sucks. PLUS the game world is unbelievably empty and baron... They should put zombies in the game,(especially with a name like "deadside" lol) it would help with the empty-ness, but still needs a lot of work on top of that. Seems like a game that was just cobbled together to make some money, not to actually be a good game.,
