I used to to spell science as ( siyinc ), and English as ( egolhsufol) Don’t as me how this happened. I just found my 3rd grade yearbook and found words that made absolutely no sense.

For the past couple spring break days, me and my lil' sis would do pretend school, complete with a DIY chalkboard. And so far I have gathered she is good at math (like really good for her age) and did NOT like reading 😂

I had a speech impediment when I was a kid. I couldn’t say two consonants after each other and I couldn’t say R or L. Luckily I could speak normally when I was about seven years old, but I had to go to a specialist daily for years before I finally got it. Never had a problem reading or writing though. I was actually pretty good at it, but not that good with the English language.

For 10 YEARS I thought it was spelled Wensday. 10 FRICKEN YEARS!! I only learned it in 5th grade!!!!

I remember when I was 6, at least three times a week, I used to practice saying feather and paper with my mom. The reason why I remember this, is because I used to get so pissed about it that my mom would give me a stick of gum or candy every 30 minutes I wouldn't start crying over my speech impediment. I stopped those lisp lessons after I could say, "Paper and pencils are good, but feathers and birds are AWESOME" at least three times in a row correctly. The reason why it was that sentence specifically was because she had me make up my own sentence with at least two words with the sound "-er" in them. I liked birds

My elementary school had Battle of the books as well or B.O.B. it was called. Unlike James our school had it divided into groups of four and where assigned two books per member. After two months of reading we'd go up against other teams to see who can answer questions about the book the fastest and if you got the answer correct you'd get points. It was like a game show but with facts form the books. The team with the most points ,moves up in the bracket (similar to March Madness) and the last team standing gets a prizes and and pizza party. I remember having to read Charlottes Web like 5 times because of B.O.B.

My school has battle of the books and something called locked into reading that means you have to read books that would give you clues on how to do an escape room from the books we read it’s super fun

I had the battle of the books at my school but I left bc we had to move to another state before the competition but let me explain how it worked at my school. You get a list of 20 books and you assemble a team and see who reads which book and how your poster will look as well as what your name would be but every time you read a book you go to the library and say I read this book and then you can pick out a bracelet and a piece of candy each book you read and also no matter what if you lose or win you get to go to the pizza party. And the last thing is in the battle of the books you have chairs and desk on a stage with wide stairs which almost all the people have their desk and chair on the stairs. And if you win well I have no idea what you get when you win besides a trophie
