Never feel guilty for not being able to provide the quality of care needed for a resident. By saying ,"No, im sorry, I cannot provide the level of care she will need".. you are actually being an advocate FOR that patient, and acting in the best interest of the patient🙌

Hi Serg, I am a fellow Adult Family Home owner in Washington State. We have been running our home for about 8 years. Its awesome to finally find some helpful and transparent videos regarding this industry. Hope things are going well for you! Its an incredibly stressful business but if you keep it professional and dont only chase the money then it can be very lucrative and be an amazing contribution to your community and the families that rely on you to care for their loved ones. Keep up the good work. One very hard lesson I've learned over the years is that "this too shall pass"!

Thank you for the comment! Things are going well, all the glory to God. It most definitely can be stressful from time to time but knowing why you started and seeing the impact you’re making in your residents lives and their families is more fulfilling than any amount of money could ever bring. May God bless you and thank you again for the support on the channel!

@@serg_lupescu I respect you so much Serg. Your posts have helped me quite a lot with understanding the stress I've been putting on the owner of this facility. I am currently a resident and in my six years of having to live in a facility never experienced employees ganging up against their owner. These are people that grew up under the regime of Fidel Castro and what amazes me is the fact that they feel entitled 😮. They can't appreciate that they have a good job and that the government provides them with assistance so that they can enjoy a better life here for them and their families. Not all exhibit this mentality but the majority of them do and refuse to acknowledge this problem. A lot of demons that come with the wave of uneducated no morals migrants already in this country.

My hat goes out to you Serg, what you have done thus far is nothing short of amazing and dude, you already had a pair when you first decided you were going into this business, I think what you meant was you had to grow a bigger pair? lol... But seriously, you did good!. Please keep us upto date. I haven't browsed all your videos but I hope to, do you by any chance have any advice or at least will do a vlog about your how you keep your residents entertained, what activities you offer them, if so, what are they. Thanks again.

All the glory to God! He deserves it all. I am nothing without Him. He has given me the strength to keep pushing forward even when I felt like I couldn’t. Feel free to check out all the other videos! As far as the activities that I do with my residents, there are quite a bit and we’re required by the state of AZ to do activities everyday with our residents. Maybe, I’ll cover that topic in a future video of mine.

@cidcoleman2262

I'm aiming to get started this year.... So you're saying that basically the agencies(put in place to house their patients) disregarded your policies and procedures anyway??? This is a nonmedical assisted living facility, and if someone needs more than one aid isn't that a medical(and by the looks of the patient needing hospice omg)?...Look, I'm motivated to create some facilities because I'm an empathetic person with a caring heart. I'd hate to be turned off due to unresilient personalities without compassion for the staff. Where do we draw the line while staying professional! Thanks for sharing your experience, and I'm truly sorry you lost out as a result.

@@serg_lupescu Thought so. I do healthcare concierge and placement currently and had a lot of trouble placing a client in a temporary room in an ALF just because she was getting wound care on her foot. I thought that was odd since Home Health goes into facilities all the time. Thought maybe it was the temp situation. And it was Florida, which is kinda weird anyway 😂

Ok because I'm seriously looking into doing this. I had one client through the state through adult foster care, total care, CP and a conniving person. I, like you, was bullied into taking her and it was my first time. I was later informed that she was the worst case and that no one else would take her. I think the pay for her was around 50,000 for the year which was not enough at all for all that we had to do and that was with negotiations with the agency. So is what you do the same as adult foster care?
