Nice work. I have just started collecting Gassers. Really like 'em. Today I bought a "AMERICAN RACING" custom wheels 4/5 Real Riders '65 Mercury Comet Cyclone. It is a really nice piece. Know you collect 55's but I think you'd like it.

What advice do you have for a "collector," who has never customized a Hot Wheel, nor painted anything in his/her life and wants to start with the basics? My intent is NOT to insult anybody who customizes and sells their crafts, I meant, personally? I want to customize for my "Personal Collection." I though about buying some loose die-casts from the flea market and trying my hand at basic paint schemes, then progress into the unique colors and onto Spectrflame paints. I eventually want to get where you are, if that's possible. Outstanding video, my man!

You need to shorten axles. They are sticking way past the wheels. Very noticeable. 😊😊

I live in Tallahassee, Florida and I travel often to as far north as Atlanta and as far south as Tampa and I come across customs often. The primary issue I have with some of the custom die-casts is that they don't roll well at all, many of them stick, or the tires rub against the body. The other issue is kind of on the par with my primary reason and that's the quality, they just don't look as if enough effort was placed in creating it. My questions are: Am i being anal, too picky? Am I being naive to want and believe "customized" die-cast, should roll well, as if I opened a brand new card from Target or Walmart? Am I being naive to want and believe "customized" die-cast, should expect quality out of a die-cast I intend to keep in my personal collection? Last questions: How long does the paint-jobs(schemes")and the tampos last? Do they start to fade or peel over time? Have you ever purchased one where the rivets fell out of the die-cast just started to fall apart? I ask these questions in all honesty, as i plan to keep these in my pc, not in the sun ot anything like that. Plus, i asked here in the message boards, instead of sending you a private e-mail, as I'm certain others may have the same questions. Thanks and I try to get all mine to roll like factory but can be difficult depending on tire choice and I screw all mine together with Phillip screws and try not to buy ones with glew or anything else mine can be taken apart and put back together very easily and my decals don't fade or peel I put 4 to 7 coats of clear over them but not every one does if you find someone that makes quality customs stick with them kroni customs are some of the best I've ever seen but are between 75 to a 100 bucks but well worth it nicer then an rlc mine start at 50 bucks and go up from there so I be werry of any cheaper then that it's very hard and time consuming and expensive to get decent results hope this helps thanks for watching
