The husband works as an HR. Meaning it is a high income job, and he earns good money which he can use to pay the bills. Besides they have five kids. Most of our people over there are doing low income paying jobs like, security, construction, cleaning, factory, warehouse, and care works. The salaries from these are not enough for a family and require spouses to share bills and cost in running the house.

Yes oo our Ghanaian women are raised to think that way. If you don’t pay all or most of the bills they don’t see your value hence they won’t respect you. In other words they respect what you can do for them. They are very wayward in that regard

If you don’t pay anything, then what are you doing with your earnings? You both immigrants, so unless your husband is really earning lots of cash, it means he has neglected his family and friends and you are the sole person in his life.
