the thing with Barca is, our team is so injury prone that actually having all of our players staying fit feels like buying a bunch of new players. Just look at all the games that Pedri, Gave, Balde, MATS, Araujo, Frenkie, Raphinha, Kounde have missed throughout the last two seasons. Every year when we start with a fit squad, feels like a fresh start

We have solid backups for next season - 1. Eric Garcia 2. Sergio Roberto 3. Romero 4. Gundogan 5. Lamine Yamal, etc. We got this. Also, Lewa is underrated. Michi has a personal bias against him. We all have biases so I don't hold this against him but I truly think he can be dangerous when needed.

Barca fans tend to forget a lot of things. For example Frenkie was our best midfielder until he got injured against Bilbao, then he returned and wasn’t his usual self for about 3 games and everyone started hating him. Another example, Raphinha was and still is imo not good enough for Barca, he can’t dribble, he can’t create and he needs others to be able to create for him. He was sh!t last season, he was sh!t in the first half of this season but he had two good games against PSG and now everyone switched up and all of a sudden they want to keep him. Another example is Araujo. He’s our best CB when he’s in form and last season everyone was claiming he’s the best CB itw, but because of his recent performances and because of his red card against PSG people want him out. But that’s Barca for you, there’s a reason Pep left... just way too much pressure from the fans and the media 🤷‍♂️

@@yo_seb5195 I agree with everything except the Raphinha thing. He 100% can dribble, and not just against PSG. His workrate is elite and was he saved Cancelo from looking ever more like dumbass because he tracks bck to help. I might be wrong but I think he's the 2nd top scorer behind Lewa, and he's already been our season top scorer before. He's definitely good enough to stay.

@@yo_seb5195 100% agree with you on raphinha, hes become hella overrated now but he still shouldnt be the first to go. Ferran, felix, lewa should all get kicked out of the club before we even think about removing raphinha. Raphinha atleast plays with heart and workrate, the 3 guys i mentioned are all quitters and stroll around the pitch like theyre messi. Araujo has been genuinely terrible though. A few good games near the end of the season wont change that for me. Our entire defence has been terrible as a matter of fact, which means xavi changed something and ruined whatever synergy we had last year. Xavi should have stayed in retirement, managing isnt for him

Hear me out; I think we should try Mikayil Faye at left back next season and give him the chance to shine similar to how we did with Yamal and Cubarsi. His versatility, good defensive awareness, ability to drift into midfield and score goals definitely gives him a good shot to play at left back. I prefer him over Cancelo at least. The worst part is I know Xavi will not do it because he isn't Spanish...

I agree with you on this. Although, I wouldn't mind bringing Félix in and playing him as a false 9. The threat in behind can come from the wingers, midfielders and Baldé. Or someone like Juli Alvarez for a more advanced 9, but would have to sell Lewy, which probably ain't happening. I like Roque, he should play a lot, but I don't think he is as ready as someone like Alvarez is, when it comes to starting in a Barça team week in and week out.

Banger of a video michi. I agree with everything you’ve said man but the only change I’d make is Andreas Christensen in for Cubarsi. Sure Cubarsi can be the rotating center back between Araujo and Andreas and will still see a lot of mins but I wouldn’t bet on a 17 year old to start ahead of Christensen who is may more experienced and imo he’s still better than Cubarsi as of now. I’d rather start the true BACK defense of the 22/23 season in the CL quarterfinal per se. I wouldn’t be mad with Cubarsi over Christensen but I’d just edge it over to Christensen as of now for those reasons. Also Christensen has more experience and familiarity playing with the likes of Balde, Araujo, Kounde, and Stegan .

Idk why u disagree but, Kimmich is really important for us.For the pivot role, I think of 3 players mainly.. Kimmich, Zubi and Jorginho. If wage turns out to be a holding factor for the Zubimendi Transfer, I think they should go for Kimmich or Jorginho.. Jorginho is world class, he is a free agent now... An UCL winner, and experienced against the biggest teams and players.

I would say Kimmich is equally good. See to summarise, Barça is suffering for the past 5 years mainly due to the gaffer and authority issues. Bartomeu sacked Valverde mid season while we were winning the La liga that season and eventually bottled it. Brought two donkeys, owing to which my club hit rock bottom. Played flop La Masia talents and used to bench the gems. What Laporta, Alemany yuste and Xavi has done is incredible. But I still feel that Xavi will take a lot of time to win the UCL. If a UCL manager would have had got signed in this season, we would have had a great chance, owing to the squad depth.

We should have had given Valverde another two three seasons before sacking him. This was the biggest mistake. 2019 to 2022 is the darkest phase of my club. We went fron platinum to tin direct :)Xavi and Laporta has taken my club back to gold. But ofc it will take time to reach the platinum(2014-15) stage.

I dont know about this Michi. The team is obviously full of youth, which is obviously the thing that Barca normally succeed in. But the preassure on Roque and Yamal in this team would probably be too much for them. Yamal is amazing obviously, and I havent seen much of Roque yet. And that midfield man, so much ball playing ability, but so so light weight. I think u need athletes in midfield these days. People with legs. Gundogan is old, Pedri is so much injured, but I havent seen any of Zubimendi tbh. Look at Real Madrid with Tchouameni, Federico, Jude, Camavinga.. all athletes. Look at City, with the perfect mix of ball playing ability and athletisism

Crazy how our main problem this season has been defensively but you wanna bring in a CDM who won’t help at all with that. All of our midfielders that we have currently are great on the ball, matter of fact I don’t think Zubi is better on the ball than any of them. What our midfielders aren’t good at is transitioning into defense and defending in general. That has been our biggest issue this season and when it comes to that, Kimmich, Onana and Matt’s Weiffer would be better options and it’d be best to pair one of them up with De Jong. I’m convinced the only reason y’all want Zubi so bad is because he’s the “Busquets Regen” even tho if you watch him play live, he is no where near being that good. FDJ is better than him on the ball and that’s a fact. You can check the statistics.

put some respect on Lewa’s name Michi… Ik we have Roque n he’s depressed n shi but let’s be realistic, Xavi won’t start him over Lewa which I honestly agree with but to a certain extent. I believe Vitor could be the face of our striker position in the 25/26 season maybe. But next season I want to see Lewa getting 60% of the minutes and Roque 40% of the minutes throughout the whole season. And obviously in CL nights Lewa should start but if he isn’t having an impact I’d instantly bring Roque on at like the 60-65th min and that’s if he not having an impact in any game not just a CL game.

I love the team and I love our youngsters, but it speaks volumes that our best players are almost all under 23 years old. It causes these young players injuries (Pedri, Gavi, Ansu, for example) and its clear we have no experience in the team besides Gundo and MATS which causes us to crumble in big moments. I don't blame the youngsters, but when you look at Madrid there's a balance between experienced players that are actually good, (Not like roberto who's experienced but fucking ass), and young players. We don't have that. We rely on young players, get them injured, and crumble in march/april. I think it's dangerous to have this many young players on the starting line up, even though they're world class. Specially because we have no good depth. No other top european club has that many youngsters in their lineups.

I have to say I didn't expect this. So, in your opinion all it takes is 1 player (Zubimendi) to fix the current Barca team ? I mean it's not for me to say if that's correct or not, because I'm not an expert on Barca matters, but given how much you have complained about the team this year, I would've thought you will want more changes, more fresh faces. @@muukva Would hurt to switch up the formation. Real also doesnt play their typical 4-3-3 anymore once no one from BBC was left

@@KailamiMwiinga the only real injury prone players would be pedri and ansu. Dybala would be rested vs. easy laliga teams. Ansu has a backup with raphinha and pedri has a backup with frenkie. I think it would be worth a try
