If you have legit reasons for your 12th mark then you can enter top B-schools.. btw skills matters but shortlist k liye profile toh chaiye... IIM A,B,C,I me dikkat hoegi..

You will have to get good percentile in CAT plus make a good profile. Then you can compensate your gap
