Thank you for your video. Just found out I have endometriosis and one completely blocked tube. We've been TTC for a year with no luck and decided to see a specialist. I'm praying that the treatments will work and that we'll be able to get pregnant. Such a frustrating journey, but it helps to hear about other's successes.

Thank you for sharing this video with us... I am 27 and have been suffering from endo since I was 11... It is very hard for me to distinguish between one issue and the next as I have been diagnosed with PCOS, IBS and pelvic floor dysfunction to name a few... Like you, I have always known I wanted to be a mother and am very hopeful that if I pursue the surgery it will be successful as yours was... Thankfully here in Ontario I am covered under OHIP and won't have to pay. So that is one blessing in itself I suppose. I am just extremely nervous as I seem to have a very bad case of it as well. Take care & Congrats on your baby!

Thank you so much for sharing. I have been in and out of the emergency room for severe lower abdomen pain since the age of 14, I am now 21. Doctors always dismissed it as period cramps until recently when it got so bad I was screaming at them to find what was wrong. I had a CT scan and followed up with my gynecologist and am finally getting some answers. She is pretty certain that I have had endometriosis since I was 14, and it has progressively gotten worse. Hopefully we can go in and do a surgery to help the chances of falling pregnant, but she is not very hopeful, seeing as how bad it is already. I'm so happy I could hear your story and bring some hope into my heart.

Ms Jesse thank you for video and being so straightforward, with endometriosis it's hard. It feel alone" I was diagnosed in oct 2014 after a few episodes in the summer and it's been a rough time with trying to find the right gynaecologist since a lot just want to do full hysterectomy ins rad of treating the problem.

Endometriosis Definitely needs more awareness. For the few people in my family that know about endo all assumed it was just painful periods. So many women stuggle with this. Infertility is no fun!
@MsJessLouise

Absolutely! no-one in my family (including myself) knew pretty much anything about it until i found out i had it after surgery - it needs a lot of education and exposure! Infertility is very painful and heartbreaking - more support is very much needed!

what I've found out is that it's usually genetic. my Grandmother had it but not as bad as I do. ever scene I start my cycle I've always had pain it was never truly treated or discovered until a few trips to the hospital and a specialist visit. so over 5 years it had gotten to the point that one of my tubes where completely blocked and the other had to almost be forced open at a HSG appointment. It made me wonder how I was even having my monthly cycle regularly.

Thank you for sharing and knowing there is a possibility. I have been trying and off birth control for 4 months and have been told I could have endometriosis but was told I need surgery to know for sure. Like you I also have always dreamed of being a mum, I'm finally with the right man and being almost 30 scares me to know I am running out of time too to conceive. I know I'll need ultrasounds to know for sure but it's terrifying being at this point of booking it in to find a definite answer. I don't want the results to be bad 😔

Stephanie Kempf thankyou so much for your comment! Sorry in my delayed response!! Im so sorry you've had the heartache of trying and not falling pregnant and then to receive the news it could be endo - I know how it feels and it's devastating at the time! But it's not impossible to fall pregnant with endo - in fact only 30% of women find it affects the fertility and there are definitely other options like surgery! Please keep hope - you will be a mum like you've always dreamed! It may just take a few extra steps❤️❤️ please update me on how you go and message if you need to talk or anything!

To be honest with you, I feel sorry for all the women living in the UK for the speed of NHS and how they didn’t bother examine you right at the start of you trying to conceive. In Russia, before you embark on having kids, not only do they do ultrasound scans of your womb and ovaries but take your blood and urine sample for various tests. This sloppy approach here means you have to wait years before you even get diagnosed. It took me 7 years in this country after 2 endometriosis surgeries before I literally demanded for them to refer me for IVF which they did. Trust me, no doctor cares here until you care yourself. Even now they tell me to take pain killers instead of having laparoscopy to remove other cysts that cause me pain and sickness. Yes, I did get pregnant after the second IVF. I had since then 2 pregnancies that popped out at week 5 and almost 3 months (cuz of my bladder infection). Now I’m 44 and I’m in pain as I’ve always been. The only time I’ve had no pain is straight after the surgery.

its the same here in Australia so i completely understand! the waiting lists to see doctors or specialists are months or years and they won't even look at you for fertility issues unless you have been unsuccessful for 12 month despite high infertility rates! Im so sorry to hear you are still not being listened to or treated for your pain and I really hope that you get your voice heard and your pain dealt with correctly and with empathy to what you are going through. Thankyou so much for sharing!

+Andreea C I am on progesterone now postpartum and will be until we try for another baby if we are fortunate enough but because we wanted to try for a baby my dr delayed putting me on it straight after surgery as we started trying to conceive straight away. we were very lucky and fell pregnant quickly post surgery but i know my dr wanted to explore other options if we weren't successful in the first 2-3 months! I definitely recommend speaking to your dr and making a trying to conceive game plan! Thank you so much for your comment and wishing you luck and love on your trying to conceive! I know its so scary and i will keep you in my thoughts xx

I was diagnosed 5 years ago(22) with stage 4 endometriosis when I had a laparotomy and a d&c because I had miscarried. It has reached my colon and bladder and I am in terrible pain if I even pass gas, I am so tired of it but won't get a hysterectomy because I want children if at all possible. I have had multiple surgeries, one of them being the laparotomy which I did not consent to(it was supposed to be laparoscopy) and now I have a 5 inch scar on my pelvis because I went to a quack and didn't know it at the time. My husband and I have been trying for 5+ years to have a successful pregnancy as we have had well over 8 miscarriages that we have lost count. It is very hard for me to get pregnant and happens very randomly, it took 2 years for me to get pregnant this last time. We found out in December of 2016 that I was 4 weeks pregnant, I had called around to try to make an appointment super fast as I am high risk and the soonest they would give me an appointment was at 16 weeks for an ultra sound. At 4am the morning of my appointment I woke up bleeding and my heart sunk as I knew what was going on, I got to the office and didn't even want to look at the ultrasound. I thought I had gotten past the safe zone(12 weeks) but unfortunately we lost our baby at 4 months. I had to have another d&c and have not gotten pregnant again but am waiting for it to happen and hopefully I can find a serious doctor who can help me as they did nothing. Hopefully there will be a cure one day!

this is painful and wish u the best.am 22 and I have not also been able to conceive.the doctors said I have a 6cm adnexal mass and all they could do is to tell me that they can only remove my uterus which I can never accept and this was 2yrs ago and I have never gone back to the hospital since.its rili gets painful at times but I gave up on the doctors so whenever it aches I just buy myself painkillers.I assure u my life has not been sweet there r times when it gets too extreme and am rushed to the hospital and I don't tell the doctors my problem so am just given painkillers.where I live pple talk shit about what they don't know.they say I have had a lot of abortions so I perfectly understand what ua going through

thank you for this video! sad to say i was diagnosed with endometrial cyst both ovaries..5cm and 4cm.. and i still wanted to have a child even just one but i'm already 38 years old. the OB that i had says well we need to remove you ovary the left side on the right side we will still check if it's not yet damage if not we will going to preserve it .. but once it's already damage we will going to remove it. but she knows that i still wanted to have a child.. but she says well we have nothing to do with that ....and the thing is surgery here in my country cost an arm.. if you don't have money well going to be difficult for you.. that sucks!! ...

Im about to be 19 but have been battling with horrible pain with cysts and so forth from age 16. I have been put on 11 different birth controls to control my bleeding and the growth of them. NOTHING was working then about 7 months ago I was put on a contentious birth control so my body dose not have the chance to produce them. Then about a month ago I had nagging pain but never thought much about it. Then last Tuesday I was in extreme pain. I go to the ER they tell me I just have a UTI. So I made a gyno appt. I went in on Thursday (6/15/17) just thinking ok I'll just have a new medication. But NO, I was told I never had a UTI that a UTI is the main catch all for female pain in the ER. Im told I need to have this surgery asap. So I'm 18 still, I'll be turning 19 on July 19th and Im having my surgery on the 5th. And I am just praying that they find something. So thank you for making this video, Its given me hope that they can finally find out whats wrong with me.

In 2012 I got my first period I was 12 and was told I would never be able to have children because I probably have endometriosis and this whole time I continuously kept getting pain. Doctors and specialists kept trying more painkillers and the pill, the pill and medication work until my body adapted to them and had to change things to get pain relief. After that I had the depo shot for just over a year. That again my body got use to so I then stoped that and got the implanon (which was in 2016) had that for just over a year before they then put me on the pill as well a few weeks before I had my laparoscopicy (march 2017) which during I got four large parts of endometriosis taken out and the Marina in. So at 17 I was on three types of birth control to get rid of the pain. Still didn't do anything I did my own research and stopped taking the pill and have mainly a vegan diet which is helping and has done wondering it's now august 2017 and getting the bar and the marina out in a week and over the moon to be natural as so many both controls can damage insides of female and my partner and I are going to see what happens, not trying full term but trying as obviously it can take years and I don't want to miss out on having my own child. Life's getting better but everyone has to remember to do your own research as well.

We've been ttc for 2 years and at one year of TTC I became pregnant and mc at 6 weeks in Jan 2016. Fast forward to September 2016 I started taking clomid because I wasn't ovulating. Later blood work showed that I should have been ovulating. In Jan 2017 I had a uterine Septum that showed up on a HSG test. I had a laparoscopy W/ hysteroscopy to remove the wall Feb 15 2017. Once the Dr was in there he found Endometriosis and a huge cyst that my left tube was wrapped around and was weighing the tube down. Infertility is not covered by my insurance so my surgery was not covered but my husband and mother in law insisted that I go through with the procedure. I was so nervous but they helped me through everything. My surgery went from a 15-45 min long procedure to a 2 1/2 hour long surgery. After 3 weeks of recovery, We are ready to start ttc again. Now It's just a wait and see process. Watching this video gives me hope! Thanks for sharing your journey! Congrats on your beautiful baby! :)
