All that silver is probably worth under 100$ and he probably spent close to 1000$ for it all. Diamonds are worthless. The best things you have are the gold and silver, even though you probably overpaid for everything.

For real, almost all jewelry is a huge waste of $$$! It is worth a fraction of whatever it is "Appraised" for or said to be worth, and only depreciates from there. As you mentioned, Silver isn't too expensive under $20 an ounce, diamonds are absolutely worthless unless it's a fat rock. Diamonds are one of the biggest scams there is, they aren't "Rare" or valuable, but the market is manipulated to make it seem so. I'll pass on jewelry, I rather keep stacking silver and gold coins/bars! I'm not the type to rock jewelry really anyways, if anything I'd buy another nice timepiece before any chains or pendants! A nice watch can actually appreciate in value even while being worn, but hey to each their own! I just rather buy something that is more of an "Investment" or that can appreciate in value than dropping a grip of cash on an iced out Cuban that would only be worth the weight of gold more than likely if I ever wanted to sell it. But shit, people can do whatever they want with their money! I just try to be smart with mine! But also, having a bunch of nice jewelry, watches, designer, cars, etc. doesn't mean someone is wealthy! The wealthiest people in the world would never spend their money on a fat Cuban with an iced out pendant, or overpriced sneakers. Only those that want to be perceived as wealthy, which most of the time they aren't because they blow all their income on all of the things people typically associate with wealth. When an investment portfolio is what would make them actually wealthy lol then buy that chain or whatever if you still even want it from letting your $ work for you!
