Man this is so cool, I used to play cards games and collect those when I was a kid, and now that I'm grown up I love playing poker. I've always had an affinity for cards, and you have inspired me to start collecting decks of playing cards.

I am not surprised you of all people would have a card collection obsession being a magician, but I am surprised there is someone else out there with a playing card collection obsession. My collection unfortunately got lost in a flood, but I had about 100 different playing card decks, though, I didn’t collect standard playing cards. I collected all sorts of odd cards from those opaque “see through” kind to small cards, extra large cards, cards with my name on it, cards with odd shapes, cards with different people or cartoons etc, as well as a bunch of different Bicycle brand cards. I love Bicycle the most personally. I recently started collecting again starting with some of my favorite Bicycle decks, and as I travel along in life, I’m sure I’ll find tons more different ones to add to the collection. People thought I was weird, which I can see because I had no real reason to collect cards. I’m not a magician, I don’t play hold em’ or any other game other than just recreationally every now and then, I just like playing cards. I like shuffling playing cards. It’s like a fidget spinner to me. Nice collection though man! Always loved the decks you get.

Hi Chris, I fell in love with slight of hand magic and puzzles because of you and your videos. Because of your videos, I came up with an idea to make a 12-card-star from scratch ( I did all the cuttings and assembly). I made it for my best friend’s birthday present, hope she like it!

Chris you should put the cards in the cassettes in a way that will form a cool pattern, like the trick with the Rubik's cube that someone picks a celebrity and then a bunch of Rubik's cubes form a picture of the celebrity if you know what I'm talking about

Wow, very cool collection. I have a collection of over 400 decks, about 8% are doubles, all else are singles. Many are somewhat common, but I've been collecting for over 40 years so some may not be around anymore. I also have different sizes, from jumbo to miniature, 2 box sets, and cardboard boxed sets (think game board for the box). Unlike your practice, I tear the top cellophane off all of my decks, because i think the faces are the cool thing, as much as the backs. I buy new decks mostly now, knowing I'm going to live to be 120 years old and then my great great grandchildren will cherish them (Rolling my eyes). I like the racks, and might have to investigate that, as my entire collection is in storage containers. Thanks for showing.

I’m a college student and now have a lot of free time being stuck at home working online and I recently got into collecting cards I have about 30 decks and I’m still a novice at cardistry. Your videos have been critical for me when learning new tricks and flourishes. I have spent about $200-$300 on cards and let me tell you this is a slippery slope. May I propose a solution that may slightly help your addiction. For every deck you have more than 5 of just give me 1 of those decks. It will help me get my collection to an awesome point and would help we fill my 100 capacity wooden cassette holder so I don’t have 70 spaces, and it would help your large amount of cards slime down a little without missing any. Just a thought, a man can dream. Love your videos, keep up the great work and being awesome

Probably never gonna see this but watching the video, I didnt see a deck that I actually really like and was surprised you dont have, or looks like you dont have lol. The deck is called Union, by Theory Eleven. It's a U.S. inspired deck, eagles and American flags and freedom and all that good stuff. Would like to see you review those if possible or just add them to the collection. I really like them. Very nice tuck case and a simple but cool back design. Court cards looks nice and the ace of spades is gorgeous

Your collection is crazy totally crazy but I wouldn't put the rare decks on display sunlight can affect value later on in life maybe you could have a couple of shelves for your box sets next to those single decks

Thank you for posting this video. It validates my obsession with different decks. Decks are art, functional art, and they're amazing.

Literal MTG playing cards, Bicycle Draft Beer cards. I don't know if you accept plastic but if you do than Hoyle Plastic playing cards. Although the Hoyle cards will stick or slip depending on the amount of moisture on them. If you like Typographic cards than you can check out the Grid and Architect series.

My OCD kicked in when you didn't store the Artifice decks together... Also when you stored the Ellusio isr decks with be Theory11 decks. 😂

I totally think you should do a kickstart video checking out cards!! Do anything with cards haha. Maybe do a updated video of what decks you are using for cardistry, formal magic and casual magic.

You actually caused me to, now, have the same problem. For the last 7 years, I’ve been working on getting tenure as a marketing professor, but now, I’m finally back into magic (and have $). So, now w/in the last month, I’ve spent too much money on decks - over 250 decks in one month!?! So thank you...;-) And did Blaine give you those after you and Daniel caught up w/ him before he left to get his motorcycle ;-) (I love that video; it’s my fav on KZfaq)

My addiction, I Eat Crisps....

Ive been collecting about 4 months. I'm already up to 470'something decks, with 3/4 unique (non duplicate copys of the same theme/release) mainly Bicycle, Theory11, Aquarious, & Cartamundi decks. It's insane how quickly and how many decks I accumulated before I realized it. Storing them has become an issue as I don't have wall space, and I smoke inside so they need to be sealed away to keep them from getting coated in nicotine and stink. For now I have them in 11 weather sealed ammo utility containers, and can fit about 60 decks in each. Works for now, but isnt ideal.
