This is so so random but as a fellow Canadian, it is so comforting in a way to see you use familiar brands that I buy and use, especially when most creators are American with unfamiliar brands !!

My husband and I tried for 2 years until I got pregnant with my son. I had 5 miscarriages, the 2nd one being a missed miscarriage. No symptoms of miscarriage, at our 12 week scan we learned that baby stopped growing at 7 weeks and my body didn’t realize. After 5 miscarriages i started taking progesterone and baby aspirin and now we have a beautiful little boy that is turning 1 in 2 weeks! When he was 5 months old, i found out i was pregnant again, just to have another miscarriage. We have been trying ever since with no luck. Really happy it worked out for you! And i relate to soooo much from this video. Thanks for talking about it!

Alex you went through the same as me with the spotting. Mine was actually worse because I did pass clots, I had red blood and I spotted for a month. Here in my country the ob takes you in as soon as a positive test and mine scheduled an ultrasound for me as soon as I had the first bleeding. My case was the gestational sac that was not as well implanted and it was a bet: if it got worse I would miscarry BUT it healed and my sweet little girl is here with me today. She is 6 months now. When I found out about this pregnancy I had just miscarried the previous month so I was terrified it would happen again. I told almost no one that I was pregnant until about 16 weeks. On the internet I posted only when I was already 32 weeks lol. In the beginning, just like you, I did not want to be excited, I was terrified of being excited. You got this! I’m so glad you’re feeling better now and that you’re sharing this journey with us. I’ve been rooting for you all this time and I’m really happy for you!

I had hyperemesis gravidarum in my first trimester and it was actual hell. I ended up in the ER over Christmas. Thankfully it went away in my second! So excited for you!! It’s been a long road

Currently 23 weeks pregnant with my second after a miscarriage. Everything you just said happened to me as well. I had spotting up to 17 weeks and even passed a small clot. It was so scary and, even though at every ultrasound baby was perfectly healthy, I had so much anxiety every single day. Such a different experience from my first pregnancy. I also had a sch and was put on progesterone but it didn’t stop the bleeding. Everything is going perfectly well with baby though and I’m just so grateful. Congrats Alex!!! & your pregnancy symptoms are exactly what I had - the all day nausea and food aversions... and same was so grateful for it knowing my baby was healthy haha! Being a woman is something else!!

Our first trimester is the exact same! I had a subcorionic hematoma and had to go to the hospital because I was so worried. Such bad nausea all day and it got so bad at night. I also couldn't handle the small of my husband's breath & any food being cooked. I was in survival mode. The longest month of my life. But baby is doing wonderful! Congrats!!!! ❤️

Hi from Ottawa! Usually a silent viewer but had to comment and first off congratulate you on your pregnancy!! :) and to say that I can relate so much. I had an uncomplicated first pregnancy with my son and was so oblivious to everything. Then ended up having a missed miscarriage which was beyond devastating. Once I got pregnant again, I was already so anxious and then ended up having a hemorrhage during my first trimester which turned out to be a subchorionic hematoma and was put on modified bed rest. I was paranoid about everything and googling like crazy, but it resolved halfway through my pregnancy and I'm now holding my 6 month old son 💙 all the stress and tough times were so worth it in the end because I wouldn't have this little guy that I love so much!!

Watching this has me feeling so much better about my pregnancy. I am also around 5 months, I had some bleeding that I didn’t have with my first. And my nausea has been so much worse. Although I’m in my second trimester it still hasn’t fully settled down yet, I’m hoping soon I can get relief

Honestly, your first trimester pregnancy journey sounds so similar to mine (even how you found out) and we would’ve got positives within just a few days of each other! I also spotted from week 6 to about week 9. It’s so disheartening, stressful, and scary. Thankfully though, baby is happy and healthy 🥰

I had the same spotting situation almost to a t!! i went to the ER & ended up having a hematoma behind the placenta (and traveling was triggering the spotting). it was TERRIFYING but then i felt so silly being so worried. i’m 30 weeks now ❤ congratulations to you!

It’s so much better to do the line tests at the beginning because you can actually see the line progression. the digital test is not only more expensive, but also kinda useless when it comes to more information

I had a subchorionic hematoma in my first trimester too and the weekly ultrasounds to check on it were the only thing keeping my anxiety down. I had a missed miscarriage (found out at 12 weeks) 2 years ago and getting pregnant this time was so scary. Baby girl is doing great at 23 weeks now ❤️

It's such BS they don't see you until 10 weeks there! Where I live (Hungary) you can book an early appointment if it's a private practice. I took a progesterone bloodtest at 4,5 weeks and found out it's low, so we were able to save the pregnancy with my OB through oral meds right away...

I had a similar experience with the spotting/bleeding! I bled from 4 weeks to 10weeks3days, i had cramps and red blood on & off. No one could tell me what it was from. Ended up choosing to take progesterone from 6 weeks pregnant and it was so worth it. Got my precious rainbow baby boy 🥹

I had 4 MC before I was able to have a successful pregnancy (she’s now 8months) and I checked when I wiped even up until the morning of my c-section!! That anxiety never left me and if we are lucky to have another I hope it’s not as bad so I can fully enjoy being pregnant but going through infertility is such a wild ride and the anxiety is unmatched!! I know exactly how you felt and I’m sorry you had all this struggle during this pregnancy!

This is my life story since last Nov to Jan. I have spent my first Day of this year in ER because of bleeding at 4 months pregnant. Same subchorionic Hemorrhage Situation. ❤️ but now 21weeks I feel better now *fingers crossed*

It wasn’t implantation bleeding because you already got pregnant so it had already implanted few days prior. Spotting tends to happen right around time the period is supposed to start because of hormonal shifts. Happened with all 3 of my pregnancies. Some women literally bleed RED like a full on period from a SCH, and the baby is still ok, which is crazy, I would die

I'm not sure why, I was also extremely anxious my second pregnancy. I had 0 trouble conceiving and had next to no complications. I think it's because you have a greater understandkng of what's at steak if something happens. Just my personal theory lol You're doing great Mama ❤️ So incredibly happy for you and your family!

Ok I am also pregnant with my second (I think about as far along as you are) and struggled with spotting/bleeding in my first trimester too - they found a small hematoma. I never had any sort of spotting when I was pregnant with my son. It was so scary (and really lonely because we weren’t telling many people yet). Had multiple ultrasounds and was always so convinced there wouldn’t be a heartbeat but I’m over halfway through and baby girl is doing great! Was also nauseous 24/7 and couldn’t really gain any weight during the first trimester. Also a totally different experience from my first pregnancy… where I felt completely normal. Of course this happened when I had a toddler running around the house 🙄

i'm currently pregnant and also had an SCH in the first trimester, the blood is so unsettling! Baby is doing great at 18 weeks :) haven't had any bleeding since 10 weeks

Hi darling! I spotted during all the first thrimester with both my babie! I was terrified but it seems that all my pregnancies start this way 🤷🏻‍♀️ For both, I stopped spotting at 12-13 weeks and everything was fine! I wish you all the best ❤

I am so thankful that you and the baby are ok! The level of anxiety that must’ve given you sounds awful, especially with all the health issues your dad was going through as well! 😵‍💫 MC seems all too common rn and any sign of blood can immediately worrying. I wanted to share my experience as well just in case anyone else out there had a similar experience. I bled for my entire 1st tri as if I was on my period and everything with my baby was completely healthy and normal. Idk why and prob never will, but I’ve also had friends and family do the same in their pregnancies and still have healthy babies. My cousin bled her ENTIRE pregnancy and the amount of anxiety she went through was just exhausting. It’s always anxiety inducing, and should always be checked out and looked into more, but I thought I’d share to give peace of mind to any one who made need it. 🥰

It took me 7months to get pregnant and the month I didn’t track anything I got pregnant. God timing is always perfect.

I spotted in my 5th month of my pregnancy a brown discharge with cramps, put in my mind that my first pregnancy ended up with premature delivery at 30 weeks witch caused cerebral palsy to my 3 years old daughter who doesn’t walk or talk yet due to the sudden premature birth. So imagine my anxiety and panic of having another premature birth. So I’m taking 3 different kinds of pregnancy Stabilizers, one by mouth, one I take it through my rectum, and the last one is painful projest injection that I take it in the ER 3 times a week my whole pregnancy. So I’m so tariffed of having another disabled child 😢 I’m now 25 weeks pregnant please pray for me ❤

Fell pregnant again, the following month and took progesterone my entire pregnancy. Now I have a 4 month old. The anxiety the entire pregnancy was so hard 😩

I was pregnant two times. First successful and the second unfortunately ended in a mc. I bleeed with both. With my successful one I bleed (sometimes heavily) through the first trimester. Doctor was unable to tell me why this happens to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️

as someone with severe emetophobia, how do you cope with knowing the odds of getting sick are highly likely? i convinced myself at a young age I could never get pregnant because of my phobia. but my husband and I have been talking more of it lately but I don't know how to handle 9 months of potential health issues and sickness? Would love to know from you or anyone with health anxiety + emetophobia who have some insight in this for any tips and advice

Happy that you feel better now. But I'm from a third world country and even we have better health care. We can have anything any time we want. We can see our ob anytime we want. And seriously a simple ultrasound would cost something around 6,7 dollars(but that's due to having horrible inflammation and shitty economy) in our own currency and salary it's a little high or maybe reasonable now that i think about it.
