Hi guys !! I got inspired by @evaalt that gave me the idea of this look.I twisted iconic Jean Shrimpton look for something very wearable. I decided to do i tat Cap Beauty store in NYC. As you know part of my tutorial is to make discover a place. I can spend hours there looking at products. It’s all natural and I love the philosophy of this store : treat well the inside to show on the outside ;-)
Sorry for the terrible english that day, I was sick and when I am like that, it’s hard to be fluent !

Violette, just wanted to tell you how much I love your easy and minimalistic approach to make-up; it's a breath of fresh air amongst all the beauty gurus with ring lights and filters and make-up like masks. It's too polished to the point that it's like an ad. I don't think its relatable at all. The camera kept moving like crazy. The description of the products were so bland..."good" "great".....like she doesn't use anything she talked about.

woah the comments here, I think what wee meant to say is that the way she describe the products wasn't as informative. She was right the camera angles are shit, it's not professional to do that but the delivery of the makeup look is outstanding, true it might be a bit too polish but it's her channel to make it creative.

No, I'm actually subscribed to her channel. Editing exists and almost every beauty guru uses it. It makes people have unrealistic expectations. Wayne Goss made a video about it, Tati uses it. Its a common thing. Not a criticism, just pointing out that it could be editing, so not to put yourselves down too much. Her camera man on the other hand needs Prozac.

Hi Violette, I really want to thank you today! In one of your videos you used a liquid lipstick but smudged it with your fingers and I have been all about this technique since then. Liquid lipstick used to make my face look too harsh and accentuate my skin problems because of the sharp contour. Now I can use my favourite colours and it looks amazing all day. THANK YOU!

What a great start to my day! Thanks for helping me rethink make-up. I've stayed away from it because all contemporary tutorials are based on OTT contouring, layering, precision and it never felt me. Love your channel Violette - you’re such a breath of fresh air when it comes to make up application techniques. I recently discovered that a lot of make up brands use mica in their highlighters that are not ethically sourced. In many cases, they use mica mined by child labourers. I’m just spreading the word, as it’s something I found out only recently myself. Hopefully I can inspire other people to make their own ethical make up purchase decisions. xx
