Yo Radhika I am currently in year 12 doing A Level Bio, Chem and psychology. My GCSEs weren't great considering for Medicine. Would that matter like if I score high on my A Levels

Thank you for this. So reassuring and I'm glad you mentioned not rushing into medicine. I'm currently in the position of being on the reserve lists for 2 med schools post interview and still haven't heard back from my 3rd med school (KCL).

Hi Umama, Glad u found the video useful!! Firstly, remember that being on a reserve list is not the end of the world at all. i mean essentially i was on the reserve list and i got in eventually! plus u have 2 chances to get in since ur on 2 lists. maybe try calling the unis up to find out your position on the reserve lists. from memory, KCL interview right up till the end, i'd say focus on your exams if you have them and do light prep for interview alongside it all the best !! xxx

@@abed4193 my other 2 choices were non-med as, at the time, I was really unsure if I was even “good enough” for medicine as my predicted grades were ABB.

@@adailyfact no, I ended up getting BCC because of the grade boundaries that year. Currently doing my undergraduate degree, hopefully going to reapply as a graduate student with more experience.

oh my god im so silly i applied to barts thinking it had a low ucat cut off (i got 2600) and i just know im not even going to be considered for an interview. its more annoying now because i already have been unsuccessful to another school because i couldnt relay my referee information fast enough (im from ireland so i never thought it was important) so now i have 2 schools, hopefully i get lucky! thank you for the video and advice maybe ill join you next year at qub if all goes well!

Hi how are you doing? I'm doing my gcse's next year and I want to take; portuguese, geography, art and drama but I don't know if that would negatively affect my application... do you have any advice? :)

for work experience, pretty sure brighton and sussex have an online work experience, i'd say even volunteering counts as experience, remember its not about what you do but more about what you LEARN and how you reflect on your experiences ! all the best!!

literally in the same boat as you were😭, have good grades but average ucat, so i got 3 rejections and 1 interview at QUB

Hi Zain, I can really empathise with how that feels having gone through it myself. Make sure you're taking time for yourself, I wish I had last year since it would have def helped me with my mental health. If you have A-Levels or other exams coming up, focus on those and try to get those grades, if you end up not getting an offer but getting your grades on results day, QUB sometimes give out results day offers. @@RadhikasLife , thank you so much for your response, I’ll definitely act on the advice you gave. I think it’s just scary that I don’t know whether my interview performance was good or not, for example you said that you did well in your interview but you still got put on the waiting list. The feeling of not knowing is probably the worst, but I’ll definitely work to focus on my A levels

@@RadhikasLife Oh ok...I'll be writing my a levels in India so I need to take physics to write the NEET exam...do you think bio chem physics and maths for a levels will be manageable or should I drop maths? :/
