Hey there, I recommend watching the following videos if you haven't already: To make sure her schedule is age-appropriate: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdVzi8qnqq-2fps.htmlsi=9iIbyLULyQIypHNq Solving short naps: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pJyCZL2S0NvcZnk.htmlsi=HW5PLYeDPLBF9MB0 How to Do PUPD: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rs6laJySq9u7c5c.htmlsi=_Tf_VsCyaWPTZilT It's great you took the initiative to get her to do a 4-hour routine, however it doesn't work unless she is napping long enough. In order to really be on the routine, you will have to use PUPD to help her extend her naps so that she is not overtired. When it comes to being in bed awake but not crying, there is no need to do PUPD. If your baby is awake in bed and happy when they are supposed to be asleep, just leave them there and do nothing until they start to cry. Once she cries, only then will PUPD work, since that is a sign that she wants to be asleep and just needs your help to get there. At 4 months, you will find the shush-pat is not enough to help your baby sleep, you have to do PUPD in order for it to work. You can use the shush-pat WITH PUPD, however, it's not really a big part of it and isn't necessary for PUPD. Additionally, in order for PUPD to work, you have to avoid breastfeeding to sleep. If this happens frequently for you, then it may be difficult for your baby to get out of the habit of relying on it for sleep. Being consistent with PUPD is the only thing that will help break the habit. If you have a spouse or partner to help you, then you may need to have them start the process of doing PUPD for the first few days so that your baby gets the message that eating and sleeping will no longer happen together. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any further questions.

oih thank you for responding it means a lot, i'll try again and tell you what happens but last night i tries pupd and my baby literally cried for three hours untill i gave up and gave her my breast, she ended up feeding every half hour the holl night( i felt like it was a revenge🤦🤦). i used your demonstration from the video you posted but it seems to not work for me and is three hours even normal when you do pupd and one last thing, i saw that you suggest to feed the baby when they wake up, mine will refuse to until she wants to sleep i tried the holl day and she would only take it for two min and cry when i push her to breastfeed any suggestions for tha and pleas excuse me i know i ask a lot but i really need the help thank you❤️
