I love how Roxas becomes more and more lively as the story goes on. It really drives home that he was a new being like Xion.

This game is probably THE game that inflicted the most pain in my heart. ;o; This is my favorite game cuz I love the Sea Salt Trio the most. But damn did they hurt.

Honestly, I miss playing days. The missions were pretty boring and repetitive, but there was a kind of pleasant routine in going to chatting with someone before work, going to work and then eating ice cream and chatting some more. To think I found the game on an R4 cartridge my friend found on a park bench. Also, the multiplayer battles didn't need to be that great, but they absolutely rocked.

Days is my favourite game in the franchise, not the least of which reasons being because of the story. It never gets old seeing people react to it.

The final battle w/ Xion was one of the most emotional battles in my video gaming career. The missions leading up to this have you setting up these devices in various worlds that empower Xion and you go through each of them as a phase in her fight, culminating in her turning giant and you fight her while walk on air in front of the clocktower.

Don't worry, you're not the only person this game broke. Now imagine being in the shoes of us who played this on the Nintendo DS, where we experienced this story more organically. During "Tears" we had to fight Xion as one of our final bosses.

If you remember, Roxas joins Sora again at the end of The 6th Day, and Sora then wakes up on The 7th Day, the last day of summer vacation. And here in Days we find out day 359 was The 1st Day, making The 7th Day: Day 365. Roxas’ first birthday.

This week on the most depressing games ever: 358/2 Days

If you thought this was gut wrenching, wait until you play the actual game on the DS. So many convos and interactions that get dropped to fit the movie. Not to mention you're living Roxas' life for the whole game, making the end absolutely soul crushing.

- There are some things that are only found in the 3DS gameplay. For instance, Marluxia points out that anyone can destroy a Heartless, but only a Keyblade can liberate its heart from the hold of darkness - otherwise, the heart will get turned back into a Heartless. That's why Roxas and eventually Xion are so vital for Organization XIII's goal. - That part where Xion's hood goes on and off? That's actually intentional. It's flipping between the perspectives of Axel and Roxas, and...well, you know about her kaleidoscopic appearance by now. - "Roxas, that's a stick." Another line you'd only see in the gameplay (on the mission where Xion finally re-learns to summon her Keyblade). - Roxas spends his vacation day playing Grandstander with Hayner, Pence, and Olette. So yes, he's met the real deals before. Actually, he and Axel talked with Pence about the Seven Wonders of Twilight Town earlier (when searching for Xion). Anyway, after that vacation day, everything just gets more and more painful... - Pete makes appearances in gameplay, in Agrabah (to try and find Jafar's lamp) and Neverland (where he uses treasure chests to amplify Hook's darkness to breed more Heartless). Both times, he's foiled by Roxas's meddling. - What I said about Xion's kaleidoscopic appearance...yeah, Saix was saying he could only see an empty puppet in her. - It's actually clever how the story very gradually reveals where Xion's memories are actually coming from. - Remember how Riku Replica absorbed Zexion's energy? It makes sense that Xion would have a similar draining power. Hrm...I wonder if that's a good reason why her hair is black, since black absorb all colors of light...? - I like how Riku lets Xion have all the time she needs to sort out her thoughts and feelings. Even if he wants Sora to recover, he's not about to force Xion to do something she wouldn't want to do. - Organization XIII's cult structure is on full display during this story, and it's pretty unnerving when you think about it all. For instance, that mission that tricked Roxas and Xion into fighting was because they only wanted one Keyblade wielder in the end. - That Roxas-like boy that Xigbar saw in Xion...well, Kofy eventually got to see who that was, and why he was seen in Xion. - Roxas's departure from The World That Never Was was a lot more action-packed than the HD cutscene collection shows. He even gets to fight off Saix. - The battle with Xion was actually pretty intense. She dons that Sora-shaped armor all the way through (though she's only giant in the fourth phase) and takes the battle to several locations, wielding different weapons that simulate different skills of Sora's (Sonic Blade, Ragnarok, Ars Arcanum). - "Who else will I have ice cream with?" So long as you remember the context, you'll get why this is one of the most heartwrenching lines in the series... - If it's any consolation...Xemnas would never know who it was that ultimately broke his plans. Remember, it was Xion who inspired Roxas and Axel to turn against the Organization as well. - ...This story leaves us with a very important question: do Nobodies truly have no hearts?

Got my box of tissues, I'm ready to cry.

I'm so happy to see new people get into this series, it's refreshing to see new reactions to the same things I experienced as a kid and to see how big the series is becoming is really nice to see.

Will always be my favorite KH story, used to play it almost every year on the car ride of vacation.

Waiting for Kingdom hearts 4 and watching a bunch of new people experience this incredible story has been amazing. You have been fantastic so far. This is by far my favorite series with my favorite characters ❤️. People who say they hate these games just don't understand

This game broke me in so many ways than any other KH games as a kid.. It had such an effect that I still tear up as a grown man when I see this game and it's cutscenes. I haven't played kh3 but knowing what I know from spoilers the child in my heart is really happy to see the route they went

Actually playing the game hurst so much more mostly from the time spent. You FEEL each day pass when you're alone slogging through missions with no friends and the depression and anxiety just builds.
