I don’t know that I can speak for anyone else, but definitely for myself, I am very tired of polished and perfect videos. There’s been a lot of pressure for people to be professional and in reality we just want to connect with and relate to others and know that we are not alone. So there’s nothing wrong with striving for better but no need to feel like things have to be perfect because honestly, I enjoy it better more relaxed and realistic. ❤

I am 100% with you on that one! As a KZfaq consumer I’ve always felt like I gravitated towards people who I could relate to, that felt like my friends and family. Thank you for your comment! I’m on the right path! 💕😋

I came here to comment the same. I like to feel like I am not alone in my overwhelm. I'm sorry that you too feel it sometimes but it is the reality of life with spaces we can't always control and young kids or other factors that require attention. It is so clear how much you love your little one and all you can do reg. cleaning is one step at a time. Keep it up!

As a mother of young adult children now, I want to say to all mothers with young kids, please, please, give yourselves grace. Let go of the high expectations. Do the best you can and accept that it won't be perfect and that is absolutely more than enough. One of my children struggles with mental health and I think the way you speak about this will be helpful for so many. You are doing an amazing job- look at that happy, healthy, engaged baby! Love seeing your family helping. I really struggled with consistency and maintaining routines. I was late diagnosed ADHD at 57. Looking back, it explains a lot. I wish you the best of luck with your channel and was an immediate follow :)

I know it's hard to show your messes to people, feeling vulnerable in front of the camera, talking about mental illnesses and all you've been through and having two babies on top of that ... You're absolutely AMAZING for doing it ! Don't be hard on yourself because you're smart enough to see what is not working in your life and you work on it despite all the things you have to do on the side, most of people just hide from their problems Don't care about negative people who will comment or where you belong on youtube, just do you, you're your own person, you're the only capable of doing YOU, that's your super power A sentence changed my way of thinking but I don't know exactly the words in english, it's like "the fall is not the problem, it's staying down which is" First video for me, I subscribe right away because you're SO motivating for me, I struggle too with mental illnesses, I need people like you, I feel so alone sometimes and misunderstood WE GOT THIS ! And you're a cutie btw

As a person with dysthymia (now called PDD), fatigue, and a perfectionist personality, if I couldn't get the whole house done in one day, perfectly, I would become so overwhelmed that I wouldn't even start. It didn't help that I would choose the weekend to tackle the whole house as I worked full-time mid-week. Most times, I was sooo exhausted, too, so the thought of what was before me wore me down more. Now, I'll vacuum once a week because we have pets but not the whole house. One day, I'll do a deep vacuum of the main bedroom and another day the rest of the house (mainly for the benefit of one of our ferals that really stresses over the vacuum). But I won't dust. Another day, I may dust one room because I notice it's dusty, and I am there, and I have a few minutes, but I won't dust / wipe down other areas. Another day, I may tackle another area, but maybe not the whole room if there is a lot of surface area. I do run my dishwasher regularly. For sure, I wipe my kitchen counters every night, even if I have too few dishes to run the dishwasher. But I may not sweep or mop until next day (so long as no spills or food on floor, of course). It's cumulative. And before you know it, you may find most areas are tidy. And if not, then it is easier to tidy up if messy. Then that spills over to more time and energy available to deep clean certain areas as you are able. The best thing that helped me: declutter, declutter, declutter! Toss unused clothes, food containers, spare lids, expired food / medicine, etc. The less inventory one has to manage, the less bandwidth it takes to manage it. Good job! You got this! Find the routine that works best for you! I love your honesty. Many of us have been there. Finally, one of the simplest things that helped me stay motivated, if you can believe it, was to keep a small towel in each bathroom. After washing hands, brushing teeth, etc., there is always water splashed around sink, or sometimes I get some splashes on mirror (who knows how lol), so I take towel, do a quick wipe / dry down of area, faucet, mirror, if needed, and it stays clean. Makes me fool good, and that then spills into other areas.
@RosieFlaten4 күн бұрын
Wow, thank you for taking the time to write me such a heartfelt and thoughtful comment. I will definitely try to implement keeping a towel im our common rooms. :) I relate to you so much with the perfectionist problems. I too often won’t start because the thought of it is still overwhelming and if I don’t have the right amount of time to finish it then my work feels all for not. I’ll try to remember that everything is going to compound and make for a cleaner house overall, and a cleaner mind. I’m going to start decluttering very soon. I have been slowly but it’s taking longer than I was expecting so many interruptions with little babies, but it will get done. 😋

Declutter one room at a time be ruthless !! Why clean and move around things you don't need not want ? Also your cleaning cart is not needed just put it all in a box on your metal shelving in the kitchen, the cart is taking up floor space, ask family and friends to do laundry for you to get it down to zero 😁 for when you are back to college, I have a saying " if you don't ask you don't get" I have subscribed.. 64 from Manchester England 💐 once you have decluttered then organise within an inch of your life 😵 keep all flat surfaces as clear as possible, don't be a flat surface filler 😐 I look forward to following you 😁

@kittykooky4 күн бұрын
I think everyone has been through that stage 😁 but just think.if the clear clean space rather than something you may never use or want and if you do I get it will cost not much too replace it, clear floors and surfaces will give you better feelings than a glass vase or a book you have already read, you are in desperate need of space in your home and mind and you will get that from decluttering. 💐

Hi, I’ve just came across your video and I love it! I don’t watch the perfect houses and the ‘perfect’ people. I want real! I have mental health issues too and find tidying so overwhelming. No matter what video you done, how your house looks, how you look ect- people WILL still judge you because that’s the world of social media. You get a lot of horrible people. Ignore them and do you. Love from the UK 🩷

Don't be so hard on yourself. Just do a little at a time. I am not a naturally clean person...I started many times just setting a timer for 15 minutes and doing something for 15 minutes. Sometimes that is all I did and sometimes that is all I needed to jump start myself to get cleaning.
@RosieFlatenКүн бұрын
Okay, I’ll totally try that. I like the idea of doing something for a short time and then seeing how I feel. 😌
