If she wants to start a business she should at least know the basic knowledge of leaving some space inside of the tube so that you’re able to close the lipgloss without creating a mess and also making it more difficult for it to close. I’ve seen many people complaining about that under her videos and yet she still does it with the stick tubes. That’s all I’m saying. I’m usually all for self businesses but she’s not even doing the most simple things correctly. I buy off of very famous people who create lip glosses and the most important thing they ALWAYS mention is leaving some air inside to make sure ur able to close it without a mess. She needs more knowledge.

Do you even know the amount of costs that go into making lipgloss? You're not only paying for the ingredient cost, you're also paying for the overhead and labour input aswell. 12$ is actually pretty reasonable seeing as she is a small business, if she sold it for less she would end up losing her business. If you were selling something you've personally worked on and bought the ingredients for, would you sell it for less than what is reasonable because "12$ is criminal" or would you still sell it at the reasonable price and build your business? Don't critisis her for selling her most expensive lip gloss for 12$, if you haven't worked the math out to understand why it's that price.

Yup. And one other flaw that some crafters do is put a charge of minimum wage for their time plus materials. If I did that nothing would sell. Some of the crochet key chains I make that takes almost 2 hours would cost close to $50 if I did that but the price is at $10. More intricate is a little more money and my simple I either make a profit at my craft sale or break even which is still pretty good.

That might be okay money for a teenager who still lives at home, but for an adult who NEEDS to make at least minimum wage just to survive and not end up on the street, $2.50-$5.00 will not cut it in western countries where the cost of living is outrageous in 2023.

The only thing that she does that’s handmade is filling the lipgloss tube, which she does wrong anyway. She overfills her lipgloss and when she closes it creates a mess. I agree with you that her lipglosses are good, but it also depends on the materials and how much they cost and how much time it takes to make the lipglosses.
