You are absolutely right about saying you have a boyfriend/husband, and not revealing any personal details. Also always say you’re visiting a friend not going to your own home. And there’s always the strategy of calling someone on your phone and talk to them like they’re the ones expecting you, tell them “we’re almost there” - set up a friend who knows this technique that you can call. Stay safe Natasha!! ❤

I agree with what you say. I'm glad nothing worse happened with that taxi driver. Could easily go south if he decides to venture off into a neighborhood with poor cellphone reception and shady streets where everyone looks the other way. I usually check the map regularly to see where the driver is actually going.

sorry: my grandmother always had a little plastic bag of powdered pepper in her pocket. As I was intrigued about this, she told me: "if someone is ill-intentioned towards me, I push the plastic with my fingers and I throw pepper in his face".

Just like the "stray dogs" in the bank. Was she pointing to the many displaced Russians or the canines? She really does take the KZfaq art form to new levels. Plenty to chuckle at, and think about, in this latest episode.

Love the city tour of Tbilisi, the good, the bad, the ugly! It's a shame that like much of the post-Soviet territories, many parts of the capital have seen better days. Those "zoomed-in" shots showed some great attention to details like the random tire on the street and cat hiding behind the wall. So disgusted by the experience with that driver! Great handling of that situation, please take care. Despite of that you seem to be happier than last year. Always nice to see Zack, we've been missing him on YT. Good luck with the adventures to Uzbekistan. And finally, another name suggestion for the pigeon - "Hope".

The tire on the street was most likely someone attempting to save their parking spot. I worked in a small town in Pennsylvania and people would put kitchen chairs where their cars had been, after digging their cars out from the previous night's snowfall.

Btw, as a local, I would advise using Bolt more oftern than Yandex. First, the chance of running into such a jerk as you discribed is smaller, because Bolt has a stricter policy against pushy drivers. And, no less important, Yandex is a state-run Russian company and by using it you inadvertently support the Russian state - that very repressive state you left (and did a very good thing). Cheers :)

LOVE this video. Thank you for showing us Georgia, the dogs, the stores, and it's always very nice to see Depressed Russian who never seems depressed around you.
