Hello everyone, and welcome to another MLP G1 restoration video :) Today we have a sister project (sister ponies made by human sisters and niece). This was supposed to be one Sparkler pony but turned into a twin project when I messed up part of the restoration and thought I had to replace the poor toy with one of my own collection. I'm glad you had such good helpers, the ponies turned out great! I like getting to see some mishaps along the way to be honest - it's a good learning opportunity and it's nice to see that these things don't always go smoothly. Love when people can share hobbies with their family! I think I'll stick to cable tie method for my ponies, I'd be afraid the string would hold moisture and get moldy 😰

I enjoy restoration videos so much because it makes me feel less like I'm alone in caring about damaged objects that could be fixed if you know how. So often people just break stuff in dramatic ways for content and I've never enjoyed it, so seeing content that is the opposite soothes me. Also, hooray for family content and bonus catte viewing.

Sparkler was part of the inspiration for G4 Rarity. Especially her cutie mark. Aww I want to see meow onscreen. He says “come on, I’m starving here! This bowl won’t fill itself! Move it servant!”

i love your videos so much they're such big comforts for me. i'm autistic and struggle with depression and i have a large interest in my little pony, so watching these calms me down especially with ur voice overs i think they're one of the best parts :)

That's so sweet! Now you will think of your sister whenever you look at Sparkler. I had a mistake on my first ever pony restoration. I found a Gusty with good symbols and hair, but she was very yellowed and had some rust beginning. I cleaned the rust and did the UV correctly, covering the hair eyes and symbols with tape. But the tape was not thick enough and some light got to her hair, turning her highlight orange. The eyes are slightly lighter blue too. Oh well. Next time I will use a different tape or tempura paint, and make sure to put paper towel then foil then tape on the hair. Live and learn. I might rehair the highlight someday but it seems difficult.

Thanks for the idea to use tempura paint to protect the factory paint while in a UV chamber! I'll have to try that.

I love the ponies with bright, almost neon hair combined with a more muted body color (like this muted blue green). They're just so vibrant and fun.

Great job, as always! I think that both ponies would look great with dual-tone hair - that hot pink and green look surprisingly good together - but they look great as-is!

i love the g1 variants! the bright colours are soooo pretty and the alternate poses are really fun. i hope i'll find some variants but it's very difficult to find them where i live - i can barely find regular g1 and even those cost a lot :D nice to see you're back!

I'm in the process of my first reservation :D I decided to restore my old childhood pony toy. It looks kind of like a mix between g1 and g2 - I'm pretty sure it's some off brend toy. I thought it would be nightmarish to restore, but turns out it wasn't so hard. Except for the fact that it apparently was rotting. I enjoyed doing it a lot more than I thought I will!

Aww this most have been such a nice activity to do with your sister an niece. Personally I love the one with the with the pink hair, it pops so nice. But normally green is my favorite color.

I have been checking to see if you posted quite often, just incase I missed you. I think last time you sent a video you said you had moved house. I hope this video is a sign that it went well. Some tiny word of advice when sanding, is that using some small amount of water will prevent the tiny dust particulate floating into the air. It will be an easier to manage paste which can be wiped off. I absolutely love your videos. I know you can be a bit hard on yourself sometimes. Here, your perfectionism has led to a lovely pony sisterhood which seems so appropriate. I would love to be able to see my niece and share this kind of thing with her. Im very inspired. Thank you.

Do you have any tips for removing highlighter from vinyl? I've tried everything to get it off of the lps I'm trying to restore, uv treatment, soap and water, even tried lemon based on a search result.

Can you use the peroxide treatment to help flocked ponies? Thank you, your videos are so helpful and i have learned so much! 💕💗❤

Peroxide will take the flocking off as it will melt the glue, it's mild soap and water only for the softies

Once you fix up symbols, or repainting the pony, do you do a top coat of anything. Or are the paints are pretty good and tend not to flake/rub off over time?
