Hi guys, I have a question. Sometimes I got comments that for some people my videos looked too bright and over-exposed. It happens because I film my videos with iPhone 12 camera that has the HDR (high dynamic range) feature, and not all devices support HDR. I filmed this very video with HDR as well, but I edited it in a different program. So the question is, if my videos used to be overexposed on your devices before, has anything changed now or it looks the same bad for you? If so, what kind of device you use to watch my videos? And the opposite question, if my videos used to be all right for you, has anything changed to the worse?

I watched this on a tablet that supports HDR (Xiaomi Pad 5, Android 11) and parts of the video looked a little strange. I will take another look and compare it across different screens. EDIT: While watching on a PC on a screen with no HDR support, it looks fine, but I will look at them side by side when I'm home.

I took a 17-hour flight back in 1998. Auckland (NZ) to Osaka (JPN) non-stop. My neighbor was a good boy and talked 10 hours, 5 hours to sleep and 2 hours to eat. If you travel in the air, one trick works on me. Drink a glass of wine, I usually don't drink it knocks me out for 3 hours. Once Dutch boy and girl next to me, we had 4 seats and 3 guys, and we made a plan to let one sleep in 2 seats, while other two were talking, took turns every 2 hours. This was extremely comfortable.

Russia being as vast as it is has so much history going back thousands of years (back to the age of the Flinstones, lol, I always loved the Flinstones' dino airliner). I am 25 pct of Russian blood, Italian and Scotch-Irish makes up the rest of my genealogy. My Russian family is on our maternal side, and came to the US with waves of immigrants before WW1, as did my paternal Italian grandpa and grandma. My Scotch/Irish roots date back to the colonization of Massachusetts, and some intermarriage gave me a tiny bit of Native American blood from the New England native American tribes. When Brezhnev led Russia, and I was just a young boy, as part of an international study project in my Christian grammar school, our teacher asked us to contact a country and get them to send anything they could. I chose the then Soviet Union, writing their consulate for information on the country. My teacher did not want me to hope too much, given detente still had not begun yet. But the Soviet Union, after I wrote a letter as only a teenager would asking to know of their country, and explaining it was for a school project, sent me a huge packet of magazines and books, which I still own today, 48 years later. They are among my most treasured possessions and warmed me to Russia. All countries have their print magazines and books to serve as propaganda--that is what fosters tourism. What I received from the Soviet consulate was well done, and did not talk down to me as a still young, teen child. I got an A+ on that class project and a lot of pats on the back even from the school bully (every school has one?). Go Natasha!

Just unbelievable! I've done hundreds of flights all around the world, including dozens of flights between Moscow and Dubai, Kiev, Rome, Paris, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Kazan, Sochi, and Mineralnye Vody. I have NEVER come across someone so rude as to not let someone get out from their seat. As for the longest flight itinerary: the longest I've done on a regular basis is between New Zealand and Moscow. If travelling via Australia and Dubai it's about 32 hours, but once direct Auckland/Dubai was available this dropped to 28 hours -- 16-17 hours on the Auckland/Dubai flight itself. My longest day flying with no rest was about 44 hours Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Portland, San Francisco, Auckland, Wellington.

@@DarthTrader707 unfortunately, that's more true than one may think. Russians and travel etiquette are definitely NOT synonymous. Moreover, I find that many of the people flying in economy between the Russian Far East and Moscow are not seasoned travellers and are comparable to Ma and Pa Kettle from Alabama flying on Spirit for the first time 😅 That's why I always try to book Aeroflot's Comfort or Business Class when traveling, especially domestically.

From an Aussie, this is a charming vid. I recall my first experiences flying, I was in my 20s, about 40 years ago. I too enjoyed time with friends waiting in the departure lounge, and then being greeted on return at the arrivals lounge. That joy has been eroded these days by the imposition of security checks. Two other things which has taken the romance away from air travel are the reduced space for each seat on the aircraft (makes me feel like a sardine in a can) and paying for car parking by time (It's impossible to relax and enjoy company knowing there is a meter ticking and racking up the bill just for parking your car)
@ivanolsen8596

Another Aussie here, flying is no longer the joy it used to be, the cattle class seating is so uncomfortable, I flew from Manila to Hong Kong and requested a window seat, told non available but was asked if wanted to go business class for one, was surprised at the space and service they had, too bad the flight was only 1 hour. The airports dont contribute to any joy either, they seem to like being as difficult as possible. Too bad there's not a better alternative.

The temperature difference between London (winter) and Sydney (summer) must've been eye watering, and added to the exhaustion/jet lag and possible excitement/anxiety of being a lone travelling child no-doubt ensured it remained in your long-term memory. I had a rather shorter all day trip in 1952 aboard an ANA Douglas DC-6B non-pressurised piston engined aircraft from Sydney to Perth via Adelaide at age 7, but my family were only a few seats away. However, the adult passenger next to me happily munched away at my meagre supply of "Minties" which Mum had provided to assist with my eustacian-tube clearing as the altitude changed. I regret offering them to him, but I was far too polite about the age imbalance to secretly eat them all myself. Thank goodness for pressurised aircraft 🙄. The Vickers Viscount turboprop with huge scenic oval windows, operated by TAA many years later was a marvellous way to do the same route. No "Minties" required.

@@Matt_from_Florida Your comment got me to reminisce via some old KZfaq videos so I could hear those _Dart turboprops,_ and I realised that inside the plane they were fairly quiet, but outside, the distinctive sound was definitely memorable 😀. The videos also indicated that the Viscount was really designed as a short-haul or "feeder" aircraft, and maybe TAA should've bought the _Vickers Vanguard,_ which was a larger aircraft of similar design, but with more powerful Rolls Royce _Tyne turboprops._ Apparently it had a drumming sound along the cabin which irritated some passengers, so luckily I never experienced that on the Viscount.

Yes!!!! it's because of the voice!!! It is actually mundane but at the same time it is very calming. It would be amazing to know your opinion. I'm also a substantial fan of this channel and I additionally create vlogs regarding life in Russia. Sadly the youtube algorithm has actually not been as good to me yet. Practically all those who watch my channel says that it is excellent, however few get to enjoy it. Can you be extremely sincere and inform me exactly how I can make better videos? I value your sincere opinion.

Thank you for this content. I feel like traveling again after 2 years of pandemic. The atmosphere inside the flight and the feeling of travel is what I miss the most now. My longest flight was 9 hours from Beijing to Cairo and lucky for me the flight is at night so basically I just sleep throughout the flight.

My longest non-stop flights were between Atlanta and Dubai at 15 to 16 hours in the air. I did lots of those for years. My longest direct (= with stops but no changing planes) trip was London to Sydney, which took 36 hours aboard the aircraft. It was supposed to take about 20 hours but there were long delays at each of the stops (Mumbai, Kuala Lampur, and Singapore) which added the extra hours. I was a zombie when I got off the aircraft in Sydney.

It is amazing you can fly so long and still be in the same country. In New Zealand we have the opposite problem, if you leave the country, most flights are long. I have been on several 10 to 12 hour flights to get to other parts of the world.
