Grace Akinyi holds many titles. She is a mother, a former lecturer at Kenya Polytechnic and an ex-convict who served 7 years at Langata Prison center for drug trafficking.
When her husband started cheating on her and stopped providing for his family, she was determined to maintain the same lifestyle she had and was not ready for her friends to start talking.
Then one of her so called "friend" noticed her level of desperation and introduced her to a business she regrets to date.

Very touching story..I was a class teacher to her son,the child was troubled before we realised what was happening..he was living with a family friend to his mum...who came to school and confided in me ..then we visited grace at langata....lm glad to see this now ..God is great.

Very authentic. Most of the time it takes an experience to impact a generation. She's doing great right now but I believe she can also build an organization that helps former prisoners integrate back to the community. She will get funding for this and she'll create huge impact in so many people's lives.

She was a parent to one of my learners in a school that I'll not mention. I never got to meet her but her kid narrated the story to me in tears. I had to comfort her and counsel her. I told her sometimes bad things happen to us, we are not able to explain and sometimes it's not our fault

Lesson learnt, 1.don't trust people out there. 2. Never magnify your problems either through dirty deals or engaging in drugs and alcohol to reduce stress. 3. Learn to listen to old people and advice, kiherehere will put you in a bad place in the society. 4. Grace is very sincere. If only we can listen to our parents, regrets in life would be minimal. She had a great Mother whose name i wont mention here. Its Grace mother that encouraged me to join a reputable college that has made me the person i am today. Thanks for sharing your story Grace.

I've just subscribed to her channel. I last saw grace in Lang'ata Womens' Prison while we were doing a music video for her fellow inmate. I'm elated she looks fine.

Some friends are fake and we should pray God to give us best friends indeed...that friend introduced her to drugs wasn't a good mentor to Grace.Ruined her life but God of second chance freed her.

She looks just like my mum whose name is also Grace . So beautiful. What a great story teller she is . Sad but so inspirational. God bless her. May God restore the years in her life that were destroyed by the locusts and canker work in Jesus name .
