In Kieta Hatsukoi (japanese live-action adaptation) it gets resolved the same night as well! It ends with Aoki's confession and next episode the first scene is them finding out it's different ppl that they like (Aida and Ida). Ida and Aoki's story is 9 volumes long so it will go the same pace as Kieta Hatsukoi I guess, just adding the missing volumes! Btw those lovely scenes I am screaming lol.
