Many dreams are based on the person's fears or aspirations. I've had dreams where I was like superman and could fly and others where I was being chased by dinosaurs trying to eat me (Jurassic park style) . It all depends on what's going on in your life. Most dreams are symbolic but it takes analysis to determine what they are about. A recent one I had had 3 demons who upended my new house and were chasing me. The demons were the 3 individuals I'm currently fighting with and the new house represented the new relationship I'm creating now. It's so interesting how our dreams, if remembered describe our most inner feelings, fears or desires. Great topic. Thanks for sharing

Robert Louis Stevenson, the author of "Treasure Island", "Jekyll and Hyde", and "Kidnapped" wrote in several essays that he had two "selves". The guy who was awake and the guy who dreamed. He claimed his inspiration for his novels were mainly from dreams. Pretty powerful for a guy who was such a successful novelist. I agree some dreams seem like pointless nonsense. But then other are relevant to our lives. I believe God also speaks to some in dreams..sending us a message of some sort.

The lucid dream is a bit of a shock isn't it? I met my sister in a lucid dream years after she died of cancer. She spoke to me saying "I am here, we are all here" I was joyful, shouting, then I awoke. That was my first and only lucid dream.

I've been recording my dreams for a while now. Also working on those lucid dreams and not doing so well with that. I have had two or three, however. But they end almost immediately after I realize that I am lucid. What a bummer. Most of my dreams are of my past working on ships and building and racing cars. And all the people involved with that. I am starting to get the occasional dream which is more cosmic in nature and this is what I'm really working for. One other thing - there are many of those telling us that, there are no coincidences. I am coming to learn the truth of that.

My thoughts immediately went to the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant program there in the Philippines, and how they almost turned it on, but then after the regime change in 1986, it was shut down. There are talks about the Philippines considering nuclear power again, maybe your dream was a cautionary tale, and somehow a message that needs to passed on to the Philippines today?

Organize and interpret, yes that is my understanding also. Usually processing some mindfully unresolved issue that causes anxiety/concern. They allow our minds to heal or become more aware of while sleeping.

When I was 4 or 5 years old, I had a very scary dream of my mother in an unfamiliar hospital being treated very badly and hooked up to a machine and she was crying and screaming. At the time, my mother wasn't home and was gone for an extended period. Fast forward 50 years. I get a call from my sister saying my mother was in a hospital because she fallen into an "almost" catatonic state. When I got to the hospital, my family was with her and she was telling a story of when we were very young of how she was admitted to a state hospital and how they used electric shock treatment to treat her "mental" illness. I walked out of the room sobbing because at that moment I remembered that dream. My brothers and sisters came to me and asked me what was wrong and when I told them my story, they were shocked. Even now tears well up in my eyes telling you this. It is something I will never forget. It is a dream that has always been with me. She was in the state hospital in the early 1960s when that happened and I learned through reading and seeing documentaries on TV that in the 50s and 60s this type of treatment was quite common.

The human brain needs sleep. Who of us hasn’t gone to bed with a problem and woke up with a solution? These are not occult or religious experiences. This is your brain doing its job. That said, some of our brains need to believe that there is a mystical force guiding us. (No I’m not an atheist..I identify as a middle of the road Christian). I don’t mean to discount or minimize anyone’s dream experiences. They are very real to you and that’s great.

Great subject matter! I’m hoping you find people to interview with near death or similar experiences. In essence we as carnate beings exist in a continuum of dual state consciousness. Waking state and sleeping state. Our western civilization I feel has failed to explore the altered states that exist between these two extremes although there are cultures that have done so. But there is more to our human existence then simply the dichotomy between waking and sleeping state because the cycle and the fundamentals of conscious states also includes the experiences beyond life and death themselves. I look at dreams as treasures. The reason they are scrambled and erratic makes sense because if dream states were rational and consecutive you wouldn’t be able to tell which was real. Waking state and dream state would be indistinguishable. There are techniques that can be used to experience these altered states and the results can be quite interesting. I used to practice what I called “ dream control” when I was younger which is a state called lucid dreaming. I would put myself to sleep with the repeated suggestion that I would wake up in my dream and do as I pleased. It was quite interesting and was, I think, the product of my experience of gestalt therapy back in the 70’s along with transcendental meditation. I eventually studied Buddhist meditation and participated in several 10 day retreats. The experiences and realizations are interesting but can also become addictive. I call them “ the bells and whistles “ of the meditative path. They are an impediment to spiritual growth and enlightenment. And ultimately we are left with more questions than answers. But then the questions are truly more important than the answers anyway.

I had a dream that I was in a passenger jet that crashed on takeoff into some buildings. A couple days later I’m watching CNN and there’s breaking news about a passenger jet crashing into a hangar during takeoff. Freaked me out...but probably just coincidence.

Mark, each time the meaning of your dream came through media sources. The following is my best interpretation: The fairy - divine revelation. You going with the fairy - Your willingness to know the divine. The sheep - actually sheep as per the first revelation, people next after the recent second revelation. Dead sheep - death by nuclear events. Two revelations - the second revelation from media sources means the second kill is imminent. A repeat of either the dream or the revelation means "soon". Your personal experiences with a new child, in a new place and situation also has meaning. Perhaps the Lord wants you to have this knowing after you have a new child. Perhaps, the time of the revelations are because He wants you to be diligent to insure a child's survival. I think you will know what this means on July 27, 2024 (USA time). I don't think it will be good for either St. George or the rest of the USA.

I have prophetic dreams that no one ever wants to have...I've dreamed about multiple people who have died in my dream... it's usually anywhere from one day or two weeks before it happens in real time. Very disturbing and scary. The only disaster dream I've had was seeing the Space Needle fall while the city was being destroyed. After I had two death premonition dreams, I really started researching about the subject to try to understand what was happening and how to cope with it. Dream journaling and learning about lucid dreaming and astral travelling helped me feel more in control. I have those premonitions now during waking hours and usually keep the information to myself. I think everyone has the ability, but aren't tapped into their intuition, or are too scared to go that deep. I think you are feeling humanities collective stress about nuclear war and being reminded subconsciously, while coincidentally reading about the real life details. Spooky!

Hey Mark, Mike here. When you dream about being somewhere and later in reality you are there that is God giving you a peak into your future. I’ve had many dreams like that. Some people call it Déjà vu. Seeing some place or being somewhere you’ve been before.

Hi Mark, Here’s my recurring dream. I am a retired US Air Force Master Sergeant, which is a decent rank to retire at, after 20 years of meritorious service. In the Air Force, the last two highest ranks are Senior Master Sergeant, and Chief Master Sergeant. Here’s the catch. Only 2% of those who test for Senior, are ever promoted to that rank, and only 1% of those who test for Chief, ever get promoted to that rank. Although I had good achievements & accomplishments throughout my career, I never considered myself, to have risen to “that caliber. Here comes the recurring dream. Since retiring, I have many times, dreamt that I made “Senior.” As I reflect upon my career, I think I “could’ve” made Senior, had I stuck it out. It’s my one regret in life. I still continue to have that dream, and wake up angry, even though, I retired in July of 95. Mark, you were blessed, that you were able to get your job back, on a cruise ship. If the subject comes up, while you’re interviewing me, I’ll tell you “why”, I think I could’ve made Senior, and maybe even “Chief”, 🫡🇺🇸.

I've had some interesting dreams and two of them were shared by other people! One of them had the same dream at the same time but from her perspective.

Hi Mark, you may have dreamed of something killing sheep but your location and the actual cause are not what you are saying. It's true that there were nuclear test going on north of Vegas in the testing area for years, however the actual incident you are referring to was in another test area in Utah. Not only were sheep killed, but a large number of horses in another incident. So, if you are interested in knowing more about your dream, I will refer you to Dugway Proving Grounds.
