Fun facts: - 99% of the time I ONLY use 24fps and or 72fps. - I use 10Bit whenever I’m filming 24fps - 99% of the time my stabilization is on

Awesome! I noticed at the very end you had your shutter speed/gain operation set on sec/iso. I generally use angle/iso and follow the 180 degree angle approach for video. What’s your opinion on the 180 degree rule for video? Thanks for all the vids!

Hey I have the exact gh5 model any more frame rates I have 1920 x 1080 23.9 I noticed yours have even number 24 frame rates did you have to update your camera or come like that?

Was told from a colorist that changing the contrast on CineD does not provide more dynamic range and that you are just damaging the footage. Said to just keep it at default. You guys have any other opinions on this?

I own a GH4 (R version, with V-Log and unlimited time), I use V-Log, but, do you think that for the GH4 is better to use Cinelike D?, the thing is that (at least for me) is hard to get vibrant colors avoiding magenta/green artifacts with V-Log, even with 2 stops over exposed. Today I did several tests, and If I use CineD, the colors are more vibrant with less/without those magenta/green artifacts... On the other hand, skin tones are much better with V-Log.

As far as I know, Cinelike D is better in low light. With Vlog you get too much noise in the shadows and you dont really need the dynamic range. For everything else Vlog

I noticed you have your frequency at 24.00 hz cinema. I understand you have that to get the C4k, are you able to leave the frequency like and still access slow mo without having to which to standard frequency with out power cycling the camera? does that make sense?

on the GH4 i have to power cycle to switch from cinema to regular in order to shoot slow mo.

MOV beats MP4 because in the MOV setting you're able to record 48k audio at 24bits, and I believe the MP4 setting only records at 44.1k at 16 bits. This only applies to audio connected to the camera via XLR cable.

Idk what happened with my GH5s but yesterday I turned it on and is soooo dark... I can't see anything on the screen with 100ISO... I have setup ISO at least to 1600 to see anything, and if aperture goes to 9 my ISO has to be at 6400 or so... Any idea what happened???

I have watched about 4 GH5 tutorial videos plus read the manual and I still have Variable Frame Rate greyed out so it can not be selected. I have tried every setting for REC FORMAT and QLTY. In addition my max ISO available is only 6400. There is no larger number. Any suggestions? Warranty? Thanks. This is a GH5S.

Dude I've been shooting 4K 10 mov 150mbps with the 25mm f/1.7 CineD. In camera everything is crisp but after I finish editing and export the project the areas that are in focus are quite sharp but the out of focus areas are extremely noise. That happens when I export in 4K. When I export in FHD the same thing happens but with a little bit less noise. What's the cause of this and how do I fix this? Please

try using a different rec method other then .mov, perhaps try the .mp4 setting

Not for the GH5 , the IS is really good an no use for s gimbal needed unless you're sprinting handheld lol , the GH5s though def needs stabilization

I my experience, the correct expose is crucial if you apply the Cinelike D. You get less noise if you take your footage with a higher ISO (if necessary) so that you don't need to increase the luminance by grading rather than with lower ISO, but with rising the luminance on your computer later!...
