Today is Mother's Day, and I'm making my Mama's Strawberry Pie! It's soooo easy to make! Watch & Enjoy!😊

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS AND DETAILS PROVIDED IN THE VIDEO.
**************************************************************************
INGREDIENTS I USED:
Baked at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Bake until the crust is your desired brownness (Time may vary depending on your oven.)
3lbs Fresh Cut Strawberries
1 Box Pillsbury Pie Crusts (2 Crusts)
2 Cups Sugar (+ a lil' more if you like🙂)
1/2 Stick Salted Butter
A Little less than 1/4 C of flour.

Ms. Donna, this touched me so much. I made a strawberry cobbler on Mother’s Day as well, because it was reminiscent of my mom’s strawberry pie!! The 23rd of this month will be the 6 year anniversary of her passing (the 21st is her birthday). Hey Donna! Your moms pie looks amazing I need to try this. My mom passed away in March, and years ago she asked what I wanted for Christmas. I told her I wanted her favorite recipes from when we was growing up and that she made on holidays. She typed and made me a 3 ring cookbook with main dishes, casseroles, desserts and her tips. There was some even from my Grandma and Aunt that’s been handed down. When I’m missing her ( everyday struggle) I make one of her recipes and I get to have her cooking and it takes me back in time ❤️

Made this and you are absolutely correct. Nothing was needed just sugar, butter and a store bought crust. It was amazing and I'm no baker but a fan of making simple food.

Heyy Sista Donna! I've never had strawberry 🍓 pie, but I have had strawberry 🍓 cake made in a cobbler pan like yours. The strawberries are sweetened with granulated sugar just like you did and allowed to rest and make its' own juice. A homemade vanilla cake batter was poured over them and baked!!! Chile you talkin bout delicious! The strawberry juice would ooze up through the cake and it was fiya!!! 🔥 Thanks for another great recipe. 👀 you next time!!!

Oh! what memories that strawberry pie brings back for me too. My grandma had a strawberry plot that she use to have my sister and I pick the berries from. She would make us a strawberry pie, (I called it cobbler) with dumplings in it. Yes, very simple, the sugar will extract the juice from those berries. Gotta make this one again.

Strawberry pie is one of my favorites. My grandmother made the cold version with whipped cream...strawberries piled high. A restaurant had your mom's version, once I tried it was always my favorite & must have with very vanilla ice cream. The owner actually was my catering mgmt instructor years later...smiling when I recognized him. It was a sad time when that restaurant closed. He striking alright. 🤣 The way you constructed that pie reminds me of watching my grandma put together a cobbler. Out of the blue with no real preplanning and no measuring. The fruit, the sugar, the pats of butter and the crust. In the case of apple, definitely cinnamon was included if it was blueberry, there was no cinnamon. Like you, I couldn't wait for it to cool off!
