Aww! My Mom made bread pudding, and I loved it. I’ve never made it so I’m grateful for this recipe. Sometimes I just tear up watching you Maw Maw, I miss my Mom so much. I might as well say this tho I still find it difficult. Sigh. I lost my precious Mom when I was 16 due to her cancer. I’m almost 70 now and not one day goes by that my heart yearns for her. But I know one day we’ll be reunited in the Heavens. What a day that will be! Christ sustains me each and every day, and gave us each hope in that glorious day to come. Im so glad to see this. My husband loves bread pudding because he grew up on it. I had never made it before when we got married. I have tried so many recipes that I found online but they never tasted like what he expected it to. I’m definitely going to try this one because it’s the least complicated one I’ve found yet. Corey, have you thought about creating your Maw Maw an Amazon wish list? Are there some baking dishes , pots or pans, or just any kind of kitchen gadget that she doesn’t have that she might like to have? What made me think about it was when she was talking about that dried buttermilk. She said she buys it “when she can find it”. My grandmother used to use the same stuff and it made me think of her. I thought to myself when she said that “I bet she can find it on Amazon”. I buy a lot of things that friends have told me they use (and I can’t find it) on Amazon. I would love to send her something she needs. She could even list things she needs to make her aprons, bird Knick knacks, Christian themed books… the list is endless. You are such a good grandson. Y’all are so blessed to have each other.

You all are doing GREAT! 😊 If you have a Dollar store they have measuring cups might be a good place to pick them up. Also FYI when I make bread pudding I tried different types of bread and found a loaf of Italian bread makes good bread pudding. Like you mention it makes it thicker.

Oh, this reminds me of my late mother in law. We just lost her about 1 1/2 years ago. She was 94 years old. She made an awesome bread pudding. She knew that I didn't like raisins, so she left them out for me.She cooked so much like Mamaw! I still miss her dearly. Oh, and her name was Margaret! Thanks for this video! God bless you all! I was born and raised on a farm With chicken's cow's hogs And goats and tobacgod every day of the week we would put in a Born of tobacco everyday, my Grandma and mama would cut dinner. For the farm help, we would have fried chicken. Butter, beans and rice, slash, tomatoes, and cucumbers. I'm fried corn, Bread you're cooking brings back The old days and memories When I was growing up didn't have a lot of money. Had To help Rice chickens in order to have mate to go on the table and plant a Garden to have vegetables to eat. That's how we mostly survived I know deep down you are a christian lady and and I have given Myself to the Lord as well. I enjoy watching you put things together and cook and Corey. My husband loves bread pudding. His mother made it for him all the time. I have made it for him several times, and he says it’s as good as his mothers was. I use golden yellow raisins. He is from Stuart , Virginia. He is old school Baptist.
