My master's application to TUM: motivation letter

Hey y‘all! Finally back after some life stuff.
A year or so ago, yall said you wanted to know a bit more about my application to TUM, so i wanted to make a series going through all the docs you can curate and control, as an applicant. It will probably be a mini series with shorter vids (i tried many times to fit all into one vid but it was a pain to edit and then i gave up) so hopefully you all enjoy and find the shorter format equally as helpful.
lmk in the comments if theres anything you want to specifically see! Some of what seems to be the more seen vids on this channel was also from a comment, so please, let me know and i will do my best 😄
This vid is in english, but lmk if i should also make a german version 🥰

Hello there! I am applying to the Bachelor Information Engineering program at TUM, which requires a motivation letter as well. Thank you so much for this video as there is not a lot of resource in the internet about how to write a motivation letter when applying specifically to TUM. You have a new subscriber!

Hey 👋 You started your letter with a title (Letter of Motivation) and showed the date. My question is, is this the standard way to begin (without address, program name, etc.)? Also, how can I find my applicant number, as you mentioned in the upper right corner?

Heyyy no I’m not sure if it’s standard… I just usually date everything like that. I def didn’t realize there was a German format with address etc (ooops) applicant number is on TUM Online where u upload the docs

Hi 👋 What is the optimal font type and size for the letter of motivation?

I did times new Roman font size 11 since that’s the standard I learned but Germans tend to use Ariel ft 12 so I guess depending how many words it is I would go with one of those
