In the first of two videos looking at Mill Creek Entertainment, I show you my collection of Mill Creek DVDs and explain where the company came from. We examine their origins as the company that put out those 50 movie packs and classic 80s cartoons like Bravestarr and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
In the next video, we will conclude with a look at the kind of products Mill Creek has been releasing for the last few years and see how different they are from the public domain DVDs that they started with!

As mentioned in this video, the one Crown International film not found on any of the other sets is "Noon Sunday." It can only be found on the "Dangerous Babes" DVD collection.

I just got "Married With Children" the complete series on DVD at Best Buy for 19.99! Really love their budget sets, the keyword being budget not garbage.

I recently sold off my VHS collection for a good chunk of change. With these 50 packs I can still enjoy these films as I remember them.

Totally! Before HD cable channels, just finding a movie on a broadcast network on a Sunday afternoon. Or late on a Saturday night.

I have some mill creek box sets and it dont mind me the quality of the movies i love old movie quality with all the lines and the burn marks and the lound annoying pop sounds i also have some st clair vision box sets do you like st clair vision to whats your thought on their box sets

Love this Mill Creek 50 movie pack stuff.....I got the following 50 Horror Classics 50 Legends of Horror 50 Chilling Classics 50 Pure Terror 50 Warriors 50 Mystery Classics 50 Sci-Fi Classics 50 Sci-Fi Invasion 50 70s Movies 50 80s Movies And that 200 Cult Film box....maybe I've gone overboard...

The 1920s dr Jekyll and mr hyde was a remake there was dr Jekyll and mr hyde movies dating back to the 1910s i know my mind was blown two when i found out but the 20s version was better then the 1910s versions

I wished more of my favorite cartoons from the 90's and beyond to be released into dvd collection like: 1. Starla and the Jewel Riders 2.Creepy Crawlers 3.The Addams Family 4.Space Cats 5.Biker Mice From Mars 6.Mary Kate and Ashley in Action 7.TMNT 2003 8. Blazin Dragons 9.Gormiti Nature Unleashed 10. Spider Riders Because I've been waiting for many years to be released but never happened and I am not getting any young so it would nice if any of them will be finally be released onto DVD at last 🙏.

Great video. As much as I love the amount of movies you get on these Mill Creek sets, I have always been put off by buying them due to the very poor picture quality on a lot of these films.

Those multi-movie sets seem to have become a thing of the past and Mill Creek is moving on and moving up to become a major player in the current Blu-ray market. But those sure were great days of discovery, as we would discover deep cuts in those 50 movie packs.

I just discovered this channel and love what I've seen so far! I own a few of the Mill Creek collections but didn't know much about the company itself. And after seeing this review, I ordered and just received the Drive-In Cult Cinema Collection, Horror Classics collection and Sci-Fi Classics collection. I'm also planning to get the Martial Arts collection and the Drive-In Cult Classics collection.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that the 50 packs started with Tree Line and then Mill Creek bought them out and started giving the 50 packs much better graphics on the packaging as well as eventually progressing from the all cardboard boxes to the nicer pastic cases. Enjoyed this video. Thanks!

I remember that. I must have bought the Martial Arts 50 pack three times: the cheap cardboard box version with the generic guy on the cover, then the cardboard box with Bruce Lee, then the plastic brick case with the current red cover. I think they switched out a few movies between them.

I must have an awesome DVD player because mine always played superbly!! GaryBailey KingofDarkness I so appreciate your doing these collections, thanks so much !!! Have that on my Gorehouse collection with the teacher and the students, American Horror collection looks like a drive in got it, yep you need the other two!!! Love Westerns, old Classic, Horrors, Sci-fi, Old Mysteries, never realized that they had animated series out!!! Gary Myself also I am a huge fan!!!

It's good that t's good that Mill Creek, Beyond Home Entertainment, Shout Factory, Funimation, Viz Media and other company made a lot of Cartoons/Anime series in complete DVD collections over the years like Pokemon , Bravestarr, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Power Rangers, Street Sharks and other series . But I still wished they released some past Cartoons/ Anime shown in UK/USA/Canada/ Australia from the 90's, 2000 and beyond like: Cartoons: Blazin Dragons, Space cats, Starla and the Jewel Riders, The Addams Family, Creepy Crawlers, Mary Kate and Ashley in Action, Biker Mice from Mars 1993, Gormiti Nature Unleashed and Winx Club season 3 and 7. Anime: Cardcaptors from Nelvana, Spider Riders, Yo Kai Watch and Ultimate Muscles. It may sound a lot to wished for but if you have some favourites Cartoons/Anime memories from your childhood like me then you would understand from what I'm coming from even though it's unsudden if it even going to happen in the future. I know a few of them were released into DVD in the past but none of them were in complete DVD collections like Transformers and Pokemon. I think it's about time they should starting making more past Cartoons/ Anime onto complete DVD released at last🤞

15:26 in 2020 they do! Bet you didn’t think at the time that it would end up back in print. I’m still waiting for Renegade to come back in print. Hopefully it will be. Even if it is limited I will not make the same mistake twice by passing it up.

I really do appreciate you doing these. Your covering stuff that I never knew about a lot of this stuff. I remember getting the horror pack that you gave. I never really got into the whole thing about Mill Creek entertainment I simply got the stuff because it was cheaper and it was available then and there. I might get all my stuff back (just went through a nasty divorce and much of my stuff got left at the exs house. But I will get it back.) Just a matter of time.

I've been there, dude. Starting over after a divorce is tough: the finances, splitting the stuff, the resentment, conflicted emotions, all that fun stuff. It gets better though. Good luck!

I and friends had a ball with the older Mill CReek 50 movie sets like Terror, Horror Classics, etc. Granted many of the movies are lemons but many of those are good for laughs and they air of just how bad can they get! Some are true classics like Metropolis, Night of The Living Dead, Carnival of Souls (the original). The folks who complain about these sets want all 4 star moives etc. That is just not going to happen at this price and besides sometimes being a bit of a lemon has it's own charm.

Their Sci fi 50 movie packs are great. Sci fi Invasion and Nightmare World. Sci-Fi Invasion has Raiders of Atlantis and Robo Vampire.

I found the mill creek tin with 16 spagettie westerns called a fist full of bullets unopened at goodwill for 3 dollars. Not a bad set.

I have the 50 Martial Arts movie pack my friend got me for Christmas in college a few years ago. I have a few from Echo Bridge like a Bruce Lee set and a Jackie Chan set. Bruce Lee set has no Bruce Lee movies in it just look alike. The Jackie Chan set has 8 of Jackie Chan's movies included. It is an Echo Bridge release but the films say Miramax on them.

I'm adding a couple of those in my amazon queue. But being in canada, some of them seem out of print. I already own the spaghetti western an mystery classic sets, because of your previous video you did on mill creek. Not counting the dual pack blu-rays i also got

Yeah, some of these are definitely out of print. I got my Drive In 32 movie collection, which is also out of print, off ebay for about 5 bucks. These things are always turning up used. Happy hunting!

Im having a hard time trying to find the sci fi movies Tarantula, The Black Scoropion , Them. Also dramas, In name only, Imitation of life both versions 1 with Claudette Colbert, the other with Lana Turner. Also I'm looking for some old Popeye Cartoons like fighting pals, the ghosts of bunk & etc. Thank You. I hope you can answer these questions even if you don't have them.

If you like low budget, exploitation, and genre films, it is. It's worth it alone just to have the Crown International films.

Yes, I'll definitely show off all my trades at some point, but I have three full bookcases of TPBs, so I'll have to figure out how to approach that. Probably do groups of stuff.

If you think about mill creek has a good buisness plan because a lot of people have been waiting for years to see stuff but they can't find it and then mill creek is like yo take all of this obscure and not obscure stuff you can't find on DVD or bluray
