Just a small note: It is fine to hang the backpack below the tripod but if it is windy, it is better that the bag touches the ground otherwise it will move like the sail of a boat.

It's nice to see a recommendation for travel tripods. Many people dismiss them as 'not a proper tripod' or too unstable, but I have a Benro one and swear by it. Travel tripods mean you can do what you want rather than compromising doing handheld and raising the ISO.

Right? Glad you agree! There are amazing ones out there. They’re so compact and we don’t have to sacrifice on features that much anymore. Years ago they were very basic. But now they’re very reliable. 😍

Hi Paul! Definitely! I do have my heavier one in studio. And my old travel tripod is very basic, bulkier, heavier and not as versatile. This one has everything I need while being light and compact so I can’t wait to travel with it as it’ll be the only tripod I take with me abroad! 😍

Great video. Can you keep the ball head tight and still rotate the tripod head for panoramas? If not, how do you keep it level?

My favourite tripod is tiny. It's a Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod. It means I can take it running and hiking with me. It can go everywhere and can be used to give a very different point of view to a photo, or placed on a wall or fence for a more elevated position. It's fun!

@@LauraBC I have the arca Swiss head one and yeah it’s very well built. I wanted the peak design but this is cheaper, and smaller. Plus has way more options.

Has Ulanzi upgraded this tripod (F38) with the Zero Y they are offering now? I am super happy with this brand and own their flexible mini tripod MT-33.

Hi Sarah! Yes! :) This one comes with a ball head. But for those who has the old version, they just have to get the central column with the ball head and swap it! 😊 I’m glad to hear that you’re happy with the brand. I love them too! I do have a few accessories from them for my GoPro. Good quality and good price. 😊

Hi Laura, great video review! I've been considering this tripod for video work with my Sony camera. My biggest concern is that the tripod seems so light and I'm wondering how stable it is when it's windier out. I do a lot of time lapse video so stability is important, but I'm also very tired of lugging around a heavy tripod too.

Hi! 😊 This tripod is very light but can take a lot of weight. But even though it is light, it’s very stable. However, if there is a lot of wind (it already happened to me), you can attach your camera bag to the central column hook and it won’t shake even a little. I’m so done with big and heavy tripods too. So for me this one it’s a no brainer. 🥰

Hola Zuriel! Pues siempre siempre paso mi trípode como carry-on y solo una vez en mi vida tuve problemas. En Bali (Indonesia). Me obligaron a meterlo en la maleta facturada (era otro trípode). También le pasa a mucha gente con el drone. El drone puedes tenerlo en equipaje de mano pero he oido varias veces que en Vietnam y Tailandia, a veces se ponen pesados y no te dejan pasarlo como equipaje de mano. Así que depende.. a veces es u a lotería. 🤦🏻♀️

Jajaja 😄 Muy bien! La uso mucho. Es la mochila que uso cuando llevo poco equipo. La que uso más a diario digamos. Luego tengo otra más grande para cuando quiero llevar todo mi equipo pero aún así entran un montón de cosas. Tienes un video donde la enseño y muestro todo lo que meto si quieres verlo. Must will probably know that it’s just another tripod, nothing special, ERRATA CORRIGE: IT IS ARCA SWISS COMPATIBLE. NEXT STATEMENT IS TO BE DISREGARDED. the proprietary plate system is a bit of a pain, it doesn’t look like being compatible with the ArcaSwiss and therefore useless when using L brackets, that are almost a must when using a ball head. I have had a similar small travel tripod for almost 10 years, carbon fibre 1.2Kg including the ball head, 1.55m tall, counterweight hook, one leg unscrews and can be mounted on the center column and used as a monopod, Arca ball head with panning on a standard 3/8 screw mount compatible with 99% of heads manufacturers,also when folded only 35cm long. The only point that someone might find a dead breaker is the belt holder facility, everything else is pretty standard, and if willing to sacrifice a little bit on weight, 1.7 instead of 1.2 Kg, aluminium vs fibre, one like mine is less than £70 on Amazon. In my experience the choice of tripod and heads are separate issues, I have different tripods for different uses and different heads for different uses, each time I choose a combination, what remains constant is the Arca Swiss system has all my cameras have L brackets compatible with it. Affiliate/sponsors are a completely different cuttlefish....

Hi! 😊 If you would have read the features of the tripod before dropping this comment, you would know that the mount IS COMPATIBLE with ArcaSwiss. :) All of those features for £70? I really doubt it. And even more considering that you didn’t even mention the brand of that “professional” tripod or the model… You didn’t mention either the load capacity which is tremendously important in any tripod for every professional photographer with heavy lenses and cameras. For £70 I don’t think that anonymous tripod can stand 6kg as this one and 18kg in the central column while weighting just 1.1kg! 1.7kg is more than half a kilo more and when travelling and backpacking, it makes a HUGE difference. Carbon Fibre is the lightest and strongest material and that’s why is reflected in the price. Does that anonymous tripod converts in a video tripod as well? Not sure how much you travel with your tripod, or how much video work you do or how heavy is your gear to be able to have a £70 for 10 years. But for sure this tripod is more than “basic”. Not said by me but also so by so many professional photographers out there. Just do your research. This video is NOT SPONSORED. It’s sooo easy to drop a hateful comment towards a product you didn’t even read properly about just assuming the content creator is doing the review for money. Sorry to disappoint you but it’s not the case. I LOVE this tripod. I did this review for FREE because it was me who reached out to them. And I even asked a 10% discount for my subscribers. So this review couldn’t get more genuine than this. Before assuming that I’ve got paid for it and before hating a product you don’t even know about, just think that some of us, we recommend what we truly love. ❤️
