Can you believe it's been A WHOLE YEAR since I sashayed across the stage at Mister Supranational, representing the amazing country of Canada?
Today, I'm spilling the tea on everything Mister Supranational! We're talking about my biggest lessons, any regrets I might have (spoiler alert: probably not!), and how this whole experience completely transformed my life.
Let's be honest before I went to Mister Supranational, I was a total newbie. No clue what to expect, wondering if it would even help my content creator brand. Turns out, it was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I'm so grateful for the entire journey!

Hey Luis, thank you for that report on your experience on competing at "Mr Suprantional". Very sorry you had fell off your bike and hurt yourself during the competition. I had notice your walk on stage was abit "stiff", I had commented to you about this. Well, it only go to show that you most get in and enter another male international contest. I am 100% confident in you to end up winning it this time. Luis, you got the looks, the physic, the mind and the intelligence, plus, now you have the experiences. I just discovered here there's no national finals in Canada, that's why I really wonder back then how come Luis Portelles represented such a diverse nation. Canada is home to a lot of hot and handsome guys especially french Canadians. I guess Canada is really not serious in beauty pageants (even in female pageants) Spain's Ivan Alvarez was a perfect and very predictable winner. Several pageant websites like Missosology and Sash Factor predicted he would win from the start. Mr Supranational as a very predictable pattern.. tall muscular macho pleasant personality friendly and bearded (hot daddy types), the winners looks similar. With the exception of Nate in 2019, I think he has that kind of killer looks that could break the Mr Supranational stereotype. Luis Portelles is officially 19th place overall in Mr Supranational 2023. Good job Luis ❤💪 You're truly unique, from pageant critic and blogger to contestant himself in the most prestigious male pageant ❤

Yeah.. we all wanted to know But most of the Gorgeous men were all in the top 5 right? One of the hottest korean male candidate was on that year. And of course Spain is untouchable. Poland, even though he didn't get to the finals i think he's a hottie. For me, i would like to take home brazil because he has a wholesome vibe. 😍

One thing about supra is that they take considerations of your background like These are the background of our Mister Supranational 2023 finalist. Ivan Alvarez is a Engineer Henrique Martin is Olympian Lee Yong-woo is a pilot Luca Derin is a TV personality Daniel Mbouda is a student of Law

Mr World is also very keen of the background of the candidates, especially educational or career background. Aside from the looks personality and good character, the preferred winners are scientists engineers medical doctors etc .

@@CrystalCollector-g4n But in supra, they didn't put a weight on Speaking ability wise. As long as you have the face and the body and of course the profile to back it off.. you're good. And in addition they do not put value on advocacy or outreach programs unlike Mister World.

@@Dric_MagiC Mister Supranational in my observation is very predictable. The prototype is a handsome man, tall, muscular and manly preferably with beard, friendly personality, and at the same time smart (but interview isn't much). They are looking for a hot daddy types. This is my most favorite male pageant, perhaps the most prestigious as of now

Panama, Argentina, Indonesia, T&T were my closest friends. But overall I got along with everyone 🫶🏼

Do you think suprachat is important in winning ?

You don't need to win Suprachat to win the title, but it's a way great way to secure a spot within the Top 20 and show others that your comm skills are strong. I think that gives you an edge as a contestant :)

The most important award in Supranational in 2023 is the fan favorite which Miss Vietnam got and secured her spot on the Top 5.

@@LuisPortellesMy Question and confused is miss Vietnam placement, i just tell myself it's because of the fan votes because her performance was not bad but it's just okay. Not against Miss Vietnam. I totally respect the decision. 😅 And the technical award of the fan votes is you can secure a placement in Top 12 which is a very huge award.
