My VW Golf R was un drive-able a few months back as it was severely crash damaged but after rebuilding it and the modifying it to Stage 2 i took on my lamborghini Gallardo on a 1/4 mile drag race & it won! This time i take on more supercars including ‪@LivingLifeFastLLF‬ 's Mclaren 720s. Lets see what happens.

This is what makes Matt different. Most other you tubers would have a whole video on getting the wheels done, one for the windscreen, one for the headlights etc... Matt don’t chat shit and just gets on with it! 👊

I bought Carly. TBF it's pretty pants. Doesn't do half the stuff it claims. I would however recommend this channel as Matt A is a BOSS.

I never would have repaired such damaged wheels. i guess they didnt xray them to see if there are micro cracks... the car does 250km/h, i wouldnt trust it! cant be to expensive to get some new rims in comparison to the hours that went into repairing the rims.

Those weels wont hold btw. No bmw weel that has been welded will hold its a rull specially with run flat. I basicly only deal with BMW's ...both normal cars and drift projects. Those whells will crack eventually.

@@QuavyQua Thats such a lame excuse.RWD cars have done drag races for years. It's not the launch....its the delay from the light going green to hearing the car rev and move. The driver was asleep or has seriously slow reactions.

@@doublearon3692 yes, the weight has nothing to do with reaction time. You see the go signal and the other car accelerates off ...it takes a lot longer for aston driver to react and then you see the wheels begin to turn. It's obvious poor driver reaction time did not help in that race.. ..

Especially considering that you can pick one up for about £13k these days, and with about £7k in mods you can have a car that can really give supercars a run for their money.

@@yurilopes420 i actually have a mk7 gti from 2016 in manual, making it with stage 1 up to 300hp, lookikg for stage 2 and stage 2+ soon tho, but it costs a bit of money :(

Really loving the Golf R in green......the colour really suits the car! IMHO, Golf Rs are underrated. I had a Mk 5 R32 around 12 years ago. Granted, the 3.6 L V6 engine is totally different to the 2.0L engines of today, but when I had an ABT supercharger kit fitted to the car, it was properly rapid! Keep up the great work & your positive, 'can do' attitude!

The golf looks so sick! There’s one more modification you need to do (if you haven’t sold the car that is), is to remove the rev limiter while stationary. It’s a must!

Carly is pretty decent. I've got a 2007 BMW 1 series and unfortunately can't do too much with it but as for keeping it in the car for checking faults and such its great. Also allowed me to enable a digital speedometer which is a LIFE SAVER!

Those BMW alloys look fresh af! Since you got a BMW, I thought it would only be a matter of time before you got a Carly sponsorship. Pretty sure your Golf beat the McLaren away from the line, even though your lead lasted for about 10 metres tops! You can console yourself with how many Golf Rs you could buy for the price of one McLaren 720S though. Are you going for a nitrous kit in the next video? It does seem like you're trying to turn your Golf into the ultimate example of one, performance-wise! (It looks pretty damn good in that wrap with those alloys, too!)
