This really highlights Hoyo's design expertise. Mom rating sushang low because "she doesn't know if she wants to be a kid or a grown up" is actually spot-on for her character design intentions. For general information, Bailu is NOT a 100+ year old child. She is a CHILD who was technically alive for the last 100+ years but is mentally and physically a child now. This is because her race, Vidyadhara, molts into an egg when they get very old or "die" and loses all memories in the process. Meaning she was very old before turning back into a child again.

Bailu was considered as a very experienced and skillfull doctor in her previous incarnation and she was forced to return to her job.

This video is a perfect exemple of how that is, Mina's mom has no context on Star Rail and rated these characters based on her first impression, and these first impressions worked exactly the way they were designed to.

Thats cuz the fantasy here is not grounded prolly, eg pgr is militaristic but grounded while aether gazer is virtual and futuristic thus need not to be grounded, at least it's not as weird as the aerodynamic and balancing of hasumi BA wing.
