Outside the workshop, she overhears a terrible conversation between Karen and a man whom is her husband, Caleb. She's seen in her regular clothes: black jeans, blue t-shirt, has jewelry and wearing sneakers. Karen is youthful, has green eyes and red hair. She isn't the blind, white-haired sage she was believed. Karen and Caleb are heard laughing in delight that their scam worked. They took advantage of Kristina's fanatics, hatred of doctors and drained her of her finances like they've done to their previous victims. She learned that Karen and Caleb are con artists who are running healing scams by pretending to be healers just to steal money from them. Karen and Caleb are found guilty, given life sentences and put into federal prison with no chance of parole. Kristina decides to let go of her fanaticism, sees a doctor and is more conscientious of her health. She writes a novel based on her life's experience and counsels those who are afraid of being seen by doctors to face their fears. Kristina warns those to never trust anyone who claims to be a healer because they won't know what goes on until it's too late. She and Fallon repairs their relationship and becomes close than before.

I had pneumonia as a baby, and was taken to the hospital.

Considering the jump in time near the end there, I wouldn't be surprise if they actually did. After all, the dropping of the flowers was a symbol of the girl letting her mother go.

I like that fate on the insane mother she may believe in some ritual magic but no mythical magic can cure a deadly illness and disease and she went looney to not spend money for her daughter’s medical treatment 🏥

I can understand if it's because medical care is expensive, and there are safe alternative medicine ways that work better than regular medicine. But that's only for some people, not the whole. Everyone is different when it comes to medicine and treatment, same as everything else. You really got to know where the line is when it comes to knowing when you have to risk a trip to the doctor to save your life and that of your loved ones.

Yeahh my mom is also like that with the herbals and everything, she hates antibiotics or medicines that have side effects but when i rlly need them she will buy them. I think like 4 yrs ago i got pneumonia and she didnt know but when i had a fever for 5 days straight she took me to the hospital,it wasnt very serious and i got discharged in a week.Since then she is always cautios when im sick.

Because she had a fever, and usually people put cold wet towels on their forehead to make then feel better. The girl had a fever, so the mother thought that coldness would fight the disease or fever.

It's one thing if they do prove untrustworthy (it's happened) but not giving them trust just because is just crazy. You can easily move to another doctor if the first one isn't good enough or not doing their job right.
