how was your routine?
@howto15377 ай бұрын
@@vermithrax01 well… it certainly didn’t start at 5:00am (she’s more hardcore than myself) 6-6:30 I had my pot and stove just outside the tent so I could start my coffee without getting out of the sleeping bag. I’d drink some coffee in “bed” then get dressed and pack up all my gear before I set foot out of the tent. I’d get a second boil going for more coffee and oatmeal with carnation instant breakfast (or a protein bar). Pack tent and stove/pot then hit the trail with breakfast on the go. Usually 30-40 minutes from eyes open to trail My “cat hole” time was typically mid morning.

My husband and i have been discussing doing this trail. Our only consolation is leaving our cats for that long. I found them both. Seperately in dire straights. They depend on us for comfort the most and I cant leave them for that long. Camping will have to do for now. Hopefully one day. We are soon to become empty nesters. So maybe our son can take care of them at some point.

@KrystaNorwick7 ай бұрын
Good question! I downloaded the app CapCut to my phone. I edit all the clips from each day down to a one minute video once I'm in my sleeping bag. Then I record my voiceover for the day within the CapCut app. I can then add captions once I have cell signal. Once the captions are on, I export the video from CapCut to my camera roll. Then I can upload and schedule the video via my KZfaq app. So, I'm doing it all myself and I'm editing every day so that I never get behind. It's honestly pretty challenging to keep it up for this long while hiking such big days, but it's 100% worth it!

Why do you pack out your tp, is that necessary?
@KrystaNorwick6 ай бұрын
It’s best practice. Some parks it is a rule. The TP doesn’t break down nearly as fast as the human waste. I’ve seen so much TP strewn about and it really takes away from the experience. I think even if you bury it, animals often dig it up. Some hikers don’t bother with TP and they do a water bottle squirt technique.
