I mean, technically the TJOC Remake is an official spinoff (as Kane put, the Fanverse games are all official spinoffs and not classified as fangames), but still based, since that game is looking really peak

Lately I can't help but feel like fangames have been carrying the franchise. They're taking the gameplay mechanics, horror, and ambience to levels never seen before, with no signs of stopping either. And the sad thing is that they're doing it better than the recent mainline games, at least in my opinion. I hope that FNAF Into the Pit changes things for the better. Currently it's looking like a step towards the right direction.
