Good of your aunt to raise you . But she needs to butt out and leave you, your partner, and YOUR daughter alone. These 'religious' people who think they have a right to take your child are NUTS. Glad you have legal help, send your aunt AND the head of her church/congregation a cease and desist letter.

Geez…never would have seen a meeting with a Mormon elder going that bad. Never would have imagined the old guy pressuring and gaslighting a victim. (Sarcasm level - 3000%) This elder’s response actually sounds right on point based on all my many dealings with the LDS church.

Dude this is basically every religion, they tell you don't marry a non-believer, tell you that your child will lack morals due to one parent not believing the same etc. this isn't something specific to one religion, every one of them is guilty of this.

Idk woman, like can't your daughter adopt? Super weird and irrational to ask someone to give you their baby when they want to raise it, and have the means to raise it and already love it.

Contact police let them know what is happening so that if they try anything you have a record of it keep records of texts and messages FB pages get a restraining order if possible

That's kinda the shitty thing about religion. People often twist the text or signs to be what they want them to be. They don't see that God has something other than Motherhood in store for the cousin, they just see that OP is barring her from her "right as a woman of god" to be a mother and are using religion to harrass her. Two things God probably wouldn't be too keen on.
