It's the Orientalists, mainly Christian clergy and academics, who first wrote the lie that Islam "began" in the life of prophet Muhammad pbuh. Islam means surrendering to the Creator of all, so it is as old as the first created being.

Can you get your mum to watch Shahid Bolsen ‘The Marriage of Aisha’ ? Just for the information within it, it doesn’t matter if you record and upload to KZfaq. It’s not a light hearted subject or video either but it’s important to clear some misconceptions she probably has about Muhammad PBUH marrying such a young girl. Correction: Muhammad married Khadijah when he was 25 years old and Khadijah was 40 years old. At this time Muhammed was not a prophet yet. He became prophet age of 40.

i don't like how in that video they claim that Muslims argue whether the Mi'raj actually happened or was a vision. this is categorically incorrect! we Muslims believe 100% that the Prophet PBUH did ride the Burak to Masjid Al-Aqsa and lead the prayer with all the Prophets (Al-Isra'), and then ascended to heaven and spoke to Allah regarding prayer (Mi'raj). if you do not believe this actually happen then you could be at risk of losing your Iman as Allah has mentioned Al-Isra' and Al-Mi'raj in the Qur'an, so it undoubtedly happened and to disbelieve in something Allah has explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an is to disbelieve in Allah Himself.
