Hi Lewis. Thank you for the video. I had this surgery 15 years ago and it’s ruined me. I have Horners Syndrome. No temperature control, Gustory sweating and the nightmare of CS. I had a tumour sat on my sympathetic nerve chain which ultimately led to ETS. I know exactly how you feel and send best wishes.

I was thinking about this for blushing, its seriously affected my life in regards to my confidence but I was always very weary of surgery. Dont blame yourself, look at the research freely available today and people still go ahead with things like this. Thank you for the video.

My kid has this and I was thinking about this surgery but I just found out that some countries have banned this surgery. I didn’t It know what the side effects were but I’m grateful for your video. I don't understand how some people say there surgery is the best choice they made when I'm in chronic pain and have awful CS, my arms feel like they are burning all the time. Fight or flight is messed up too. I regret the surgery massively

I recently got the ETS surgery for my excessive sweaty hands and feet and I’m so satisfied, dry, and happy! Do not be discouraged about compensatory sweating! I took the risk and would sweat somewhere else rather than my hands! I use and work with my hands 99% of the time anyways! Best of luck to everyone who suffered like I did! Tip: find a great doctor! I recommend finding someone who does robotic ETS! GL!

Hi Lewis. I had ETS for Axillary (under arm) sweating back in 2003. I was mislead just like you. Same spiel. Maybe we had the same surgeon! The CS outweighs the original problem but the dry hands are what cause me the most bother. It’s feels awful. I have to apply moisturiser constantly otherwise it feels like hell. Do you get that? It’s like the feeling when your hands are really dry and you touch towel or paper. How do you cope with that? Anyone reading - do not have ETS stick with Botox injections.

I watched your video again now, and it pisses me off, quite frankly, that people who are qualified to call themselves doctors and surgeons, can actually in a few minutes, decide that - instead of trying a less invasive method - somebody needs invasive surgery, which they know most likely won’t work and probably will leave the unfortunate suckers, me and you, with far more severe compensatory sweating than what we originally presented with. Unfortunately, my surgeon is now dead so there’s nothing I can do about that.
