Yeah, use a 100gr field point to bring you to 385gr lol you'll still have decent foc plenty good enough for field points and foam targets.

RIP XV 26.5” c2c 100gr point, 50gr victory shock, Elkshape wrap, 3 AAE airazr pros= 375 with roughly 17% FOC

@@shippadventures so far I can tell they are the same size and profile of the Max Pro’s but a stiffer material. Still have some testing to do but pleased with them

That was probably the most artfully done arrow build I’ve seen on KZfaq. I’m surprised at the 340 spine shaft/125 grain head at 76#. Seems pretty underspined. FWIW I’m shooting and liking the Sonic as well. For my 3D arrow I’m using a 300 spine cut short to 27” with the stock insert and a 100 grain point. Bow is a 70#, 29” draw Traverse.

Haha, thank you! I’m with you on the spine weight. My bow tech said with the Mathew’s LIFT he’s been seeing some patterns on the arrow weights that he typically doesn’t see. We shot both the 340 and the 300 and the bow was bare shaft tuning better with the 340. Glad you like them. What did you get your total arrow weight to?

Cut 2” off the shaft which will increase foc and stiffen the spine and drop to 100gr field points

If you were looking to go light and little less expensive but weren’t necessarily going to hunt with the arrows, why didn’t you go with 300 spine RIP XV’s? They come in at 7.1 GPI and come with light components. They are also 5mm, so better in the wind. .001 shafts are like $130/dozen. Just interesting to see folks talking about “light” TAC arrow builds using Easton, when Easton doesn’t really compete in the GPI category with Victory. Wouldn’t the XV’s just be a lighter arrow, with a smaller diameter, at a better price point?

Solid point no doubt. With my background shooting the Easton Hexx arrow and really loving that arrow for the weight, performance, and price it felt like more of a comfort decision with my past history. However, I’m not married to any specific brand of arrow and I’m always open to exploring new options. I do really love my RIP TKOs for hunting and that was a route I considered going down. I also wasn’t aware of the XVs to be honest. All the comments here really lead to that arrow. I will pick up a half dozen and see how these shoot for me as well. Thanks for checking out the video.

@@shippadventures one advantage that Easton has it that they ARE made in the USA. I believe victory uses Mitsubishi’s carbon expertise and factories out of Vietnam.

Im shooting 31" c2c 300 spine rip xv x vane 1.5" with 100 grain glue in point sitting right at 343.3. shooting a bowtech reckoning gen 2 at 32.5" draw

Nice. You're obviously not having any issues shooting a 340 spine at 76 pounds/28 inches? I'm shooting 82 pounds but at my hobbits 26 inch draw length and using 300 spine Victory XV's. Fast and light but man they ain't cheap. Might give the sonics a look-see. Thanks for sharing.

I’ve got a 29” C2C RIP XV with a wrap, 3 TAC Driver 2.0’s (may do 4 idk yet), 160 total grains up front, AAE IP5 nock, TAW 396 +/- a hair. If you drop down to a 100gr arrow then you’re at 385.

I ended up cutting 2” off the shaft and I’m running 125 up front now. Total arrow weight is now 375 🙌🏼
