23:30 X-Creatures take reduced damage... Except if you are riding a Basilisk, whose spit attack ignores many resistances - INCLUDING THAT OF ALPHA BRUTE CREATURES. Unfortunately, there are few creatures that can tank the 5x damage for long enough, so I lost a few rock golems until I perfected the strategy. Worth trying, though! If you get several players with basilisks, you should be able to truly decimate them. I think the electrophorus' shock debuff also works on brutes, but I haven't thoroughly tested that yet.

Acro are good for Manticore boss fights, the shoulder slam does full damage to rock elementals, plus they suffer no torpor so yeah, Manticore is no problem with an acro, can even rack up some elemental kills while your at it.

Hey syntac, iv done a couple acro tames before, trapping them is really easy, using a shotgun is the best way as the adrenaline stance is based on how much damage its taken in a short amount of time and if you feed it the bio-toxin/narcotic, it fully heals. You were stressing out way more than you needed too. Great vid though.

You may not like ark, you may love ark or you could be somewhere in the middle, but we can all agree that roar sounds chilling

1:30 no it's not 10 you just have to deal a certain amount of damage, For example on my server we have boosted loot (beacuse of high difficulty) so I only had to shoot it 2 times with my ~750% long neck.

You don't need to shoot the Acro 10 times in defensive mode to make it roar, you have to take away a certain percent of its health while it is in its defensive stance. I tamed a lot of them on my modded private servers and I definetly recommend using a giga trap (4 dinosaur gateways) and a double barrel shotgun (quicker reload than pump action, mastercraft needs 3-5 bullets to trigger the Acro roar). When fed with bio toxin or narcotic they regain all of their health and the amount of damage you do before knocking it out does not affect the taming effectiveness.

Its about time! Love this Acro, its animations are super smooth and you can feel the weight to it. Adds immersion to me!

You can use the giga trap The one with metal normal gates so the acro will stay at one place and u can easily hit it and it won't be frustrating

Acro's are insane for boss fights, mostly because they 1 hit all the spawns bassicly whenever the boss spawns minions, they bassicly instant die

Shotty is definitely the way to go for acros. also, you don't need to switch at the end since you feed it after you stop shooting and then it KOs. So it's never going to ruin the effectiveness unless you're not paying attention and you shoot it immediately after the last feed.

Im really excited to see mutation stacking on Acros, these things would probably be good against the Dragon with their adrenaline making them invincible for a short while

FYI the roar comes after enough damage, not necessarily number of hits, and you won't wreck taming effectiveness if you use a shotgun the whole way through

I really wish the Acro was a vanilla creature. I think out of all the Ark Additions creatures that's my favorite one. Not only is it's roar incredible but it's power is amazing! I'd be an Acro addict 😂

In case you are still using sniper rifles you can tame these bad bois much easier with a wyvern(any type) just land next to it keep bitting it, it enters the shield mode than just remain on the ground (6-7k hp and imprint on the wyvern is more than enough to facetank it) and just keep bitting it when its about to roar you dismount a tek chestplate or sinema is advised to fly in its face, than just mount the wyvern and keep biting, when its in roaring stance you cannot dmg it further so you can just spam the bite, a 150 is sleeping in like 2 minutes without usage of any bullets or traps

I think actually the acro is really good for bosses, with the adrenaline more you can do a lot of damage, and you do crazy damage to the minions

The number of hits needed for an acro to roar is different, depending on the acro, it's a damage percentage, me and a friend were messing around with them, and depending on the gun, it took different shots for each gun depending on the power.

The drag weight of a creature is basically how much they weigh. If you want to know what their drag weight is, walk it onto a elevator and then get off and see how much weight it has on it.

You don't have to switch weapons because you're not hitting it after the last biotoxin feed, you're good with just shotgun. Mutated mine to hell and used them for the master controller boss, good for beta but idk about alpha because gigas bleed tent to ignore the defense stance. Absolute champion against alpha hunts tho.

Coming back through to rewatch some of these episodes and I would *love* it if WildCard would add the Ark Additions creatures to vanilla. I want the Acro for the roar alone. The sound design on those dinos is stupendous. I want the Deino because I just love crocs and gators in general. It's honestly getting more and more difficult not to just buy an Apex PC and a Steam copy of Ark.
