I prefer a tucked away kitchen. My (500 sq ft) apartment has a similar floorpan with the kitchen tucked in the corner to the left coming in my door. I love it! I always liked a kitchen that is separate from the rest of the living space, more private and cozy, perfect to hide messes when I am not able to tidy up at the moment and conceal smells and noises. And definitely let the living room shine by itself.

Have you considered doing some renter friendly diy upgrades to the kitchen to transform the look? They have so many options these days, to peel & stick tile backsplash, contact paper for cabinets and countertops, swapping out the hardware, etc. I know you would make it look amazing!!!

advice you perhaps didn't ask for, i would change the kitchen cabinet handles to black (same kind). it would make them pop and bring out the black in the appliances. other than that, your ideas sound great esp the rock gallery wall! beautiful new apartment.

I'm obsessed with that window! I only have one , east facing window, less than half the wall with a view of a junk yard 😆

That view is indeed INCREDIBLE, I spent a month is Seattle at my friend's high rise apartment on Cedar Street, no idea if you're near there at all but the views definitely remind me of the amazing views I got to see from her apartment + rooftop. SO EXCITED to see your new couch + media console! Looking forward to Stefi's Space 2.0 !

I’m jealous! What great views. I noticed a niche in the back of the closet, might be great for a little dresser storage since the sofa and bathroom will be golds, maybe change the bedspread to a cool, blue/teal/aqua, or another favorite color to banish old possible vibes! Hope “that guy“ had to move to another building to afford the rent…

Wonderful video. The bedroom plan is everything. My only concern is that I felt, here and at the other apartment, that you tucked your work space (desk) away. This is the place you focus your energy for many hours. I think it should be by a window so you can refresh yourself with that beautiful view as you work. Just my take.

It's lovely. Love the terrace especially. I once had an apartment that overlooked a lake, the cross was that with extremely strong winds the lock didn't hold and the door would fly open. 😮😂❤

i love decorating my own space 💛 the first thing i thought walking in was some colourful heavy curtains in the spaces beside the window that puddle right onto the floor and a giant colourful abstract square carpet covering the whole floor in front. in the bedroom, i noticed the other balcony can see in - maybe an opportunity for peel-and-stick for that window wall outside that can still let some light through? i love the bedroom wallpaper you chose too. maybe the artwork wall in the living room would add more variation rather than another dark floral wallpaper facing the same direction as the other room - but im sure you could make it unique with added accessories and vibes either way. maybe you could do that other wallpaper on the tv wall or the column in the middle?🤔 im glad you feel hope and excitement in your new place! 🌈✨ cant wait to see what you choose! take your time 😊

Your apartment is awesome.

I really like this layout better than the other one. I'm not the biggest fan of open floorplans and all that. It definitely takes away from the visual appeal of a space, in addition to being noisy since the sounds are all concentrated in one large space. Very nice. It's going to look great once you get started on decorating and unpacking.

Love your ideas for your place! I was overwhelmed when I downsized from 850 sqft one-bedroom apt to a 250 sqft studio. It's taken 5 months, but I'm pretty happy with my cozy retreat!

Steffi.... you got some triangles again.. lol. I loved moving into a new apartment. I think houses are overrated these days and being able to do things my way was a plus. I have feminine decorating hints. Plus Masc ones but I like being able to play with multiple styles in new spaces. I usually will put up My old stuff and then see where I can recycle and modify, then buy new to finish out.

Been in my studio for 3 .5 yrs now. And I still.dont have it as I like yet. But I am grateful for you and your amazing ideas. Hugs Steph.

I think there's nothing wrong recreating the old bedroom (it's gorgeous!) but only as long as it doesn't bring you down and/or brings back bad energy from the previous experience... I say go for it! As for the kitchen, an idea : remove some cabinets doors and get cute jars to display dry food! That's what I did and it opens up the space and makes it very cozy. P.S. I screamed at the walk-in closet 😂

Really nice space, and I see you stayed with a 1 bedroom instead of going back to a studio. I'm more a fan of an open kitchen and especially of a kitchen where you face a window or something similar when you're at the kitchen sink. (I find it's important for my mood.) However, this kitchen looks perfect for you and your vibe and that's what is important. The one thing this apartment seems to be lacking is space in the entry area for shoes, jackets, etc as there is no front hall closet (nor a linen or broom closet). I'm interested to see how you handle this, as I have a similar problem.
