I like the way you give titles to your vlogg! Its not misleading but honest cliche! Also the movements of your drone is slow so good to appreciate the view of those people and places, so much so even I am not able to go there, it’s as if I am there also. Knowing your approach with respect, i salute your attitude!

Anselm , I like it very much when you visited the Bagobo Tagabawa people, these Tribes are the real Philippines as cities are cities becoming more and more westernized so many Philippine folk are losing there roots from which they come from ,great video thanks so much on showing these wonderful Tribal folk that remain living as intended ,so sad that so many got murdered .

Thanks for this video. I didn't know anything about this massacre. It's a tragedy indeed, and the memorial is very fitting and allows the tribe to move forward. These people are rather resilient. Kudos to you and to them....American-Pinoy here on the West Coast of the USA.

Kumander. I have said this to you before. You have found your nich in vlogging the local mountain tribes. You and Kulas are bringing these people to the world to see and learn from. I love the people of the island's and mountains as they appreciate the land and sea they live off of. Sadly, it is still a problem on some islands and if course major cities dumped trash and plastic's into the sea. Thank you for what you, Kulas, and "The Boys" are doing to show us this.

Wow, Kumander, your videos on tribal peoples bring more focus on their rich tradition. You are an accidental anthropologist for the Pinoy cultural archive. Funny you are struggling with their language, but it is one way to emerge into their community. Look at all those people happy in sharing their hospitality and traditions with an funny-boned, easy going, trying to Pinoy-adapt Englishman.

Great reporting! You could make a mini-documentary about the life and culture of the indigenous people of Mindanao. Nice bike. A good way to exercise. Keep it up, KD!
@ZebraFacts3 жыл бұрын
I think that would be a really great idea. At some point, combine/edit the factual portions of each tribe KD visits in the way he narrates into one video. About an hour each segment would make for a great introductory adventure for anyone that watches. I'd love that. Starting with my second home via the USA, to Mindanao. By then, maybe KD will have the resources to expand to other islands. Maybe eventually covering all 110 ethnolinguistic groups.
@KumanderDaot3 жыл бұрын
I'm really hoping to cover all of the indigenous groups here over time. Eventually I can start combining content for sure 🙂

Nice touch to incorporating a mini documentary with your personal vlog. I believe it means more to the local people than words for candidly honoring a piece of their history. Very appropriate for the memorial of the massacre in Bagobo Tagabawa. They really seemed so glad you gave tribute to them. Good man my friend. And thank you for playing my favorite song on the Internet. Very fitting for remembering the perished.

Those folding bikes have low weight limits. I know because I've had 2 folders (a Dahon, and now a Solorock). My current folder has a wt limit of 225 lbs only. I'm 180 lbs so I can only carry 225- 180 = 45 lbs of anything (usually groceries) on the bicycle. So be alert to the wt limits or you risk damaging the bike frame -- usually in the right angle joints near the seat post and steering post. A possible way to avoid the worry is to ask a welder to reinforce the right angle joints with more steel.

I was living in Surigao del Sur with my beautiful Filipino girlfriend soon to be my wife, when I left March of 2020 to go to U.S. to visit my 93 year old Mom. The rest is history! Can't get back and missing my girlfriend, family, friends and the Philippines dearly. We had just bought three hectures of mountain land with a four stage waterfall to develop into a health resort, called Southeast of Eden! Maybe when I return, you can come and stay with us, kick off your shoes and drink a few beers and see how long we can laugh about the great life we have. I truly enjoy your videos and your great Bisaya.
