hi Dan I'm eager to find out if purchasing the rear-wheel drive (RWD) version of the Model Y is a wise decision at the moment（at US）. Does it come with Hardware Version 4 and upgraded cameras? If so, I'm ready to place an order. I'm willing to tolerate slower charging and acceleration issues due to the availability of tax credits. Regrettably, the California Clean Vehicle Rebate Project has exhausted its funds; otherwise, this price would be highly enticing.

I have a M3 standard range and a MY long range. My only problem with the standard range LFP battery is that the regen is always constrained, especially in winter but even in summer it takes a long time before you get full regen braking and therefore you don’t get one pedal driving all the time.

M3 is also lighter, and the inertia/braking is more controlled by natural friction on the ball bearings. Is your setup one-pedal driving?

Am enjoying my RWD Y so far - had it nearly two months - one thing that is increasingly apparent though is a lot of interior creaking and rattling from the trunk and above the head. Noticed a few other reviews saying this too and didn’t pay much attention but 1800 miles from new it’s now making noises pretty much all the time kn most road surfaces.

Ok, in this case maybe was better to wait some time, to get a model Y with the M3P batteries installed. Yes, China workers are still proud of their work and are not going to work just to have a place to leave it after 8 hours... The problem to be followed here is that Chinese steel is prone to have hight sulfur concentrations making it brittle and prone to corrosion. But I suppose that Tesla is very careful in this matter so they do not have this problem which in the 1990s destroyed the FIAT and Italian cars in general, with poor protection against rust and corrosion making them very easily degraded in time. Succes!

America's std range is regular software limited battery pack same as long range. so no advantage of LFP for us.

Hi, I really like your videos. I'm faced with the choice between Tesla Y Standar Range and Long Range. I'm very confused. I read a lot about the types of batteries in SR and LR and I'm still not convinced. My daily routes are city and every weekend 200-300 km. I live in Poland, so winters are not a big problem here and I can charge my Tesla in the garage at my house, so it's not a problem. Do you think that the Tesla Long Range will have the same capacity as the Standard Range due to battery degradation in some time? I wonder how much more you can drive in a Tesla Y LR. You also talked a lot about safety, which is also important. Is the power from 0-100 km/h satisfactory for you compared to the Tesla Y Long Range. Thank you for your videos :)

Hi , so i thing different between SR and LR when you LR charged to 80% is arround 55km more drive.... , so i too choice SR , its cheaper and is fastnest like more 95% fosil car ...

So overrated. Look in the comments on this video and you will see owners complaing about rattles. Also real world range is so low. My EV6 goes so much further on a charge, it rides much better, has android auto/apple car play, less dependency on touch screen interior, and much better build quality. Model Y RWD is a short range, poorly built car for a lot of money. You go blind Elon lovers 😂

I just got a Tesla Y, the drive is smoother that my 2021 Platinimum Highlander, the drive experience is very engaging as well. Always bought Toyota o Mazda because of Japanese quality. Tesla made it equally good. Great car so far, technologies ahead of it is years. Don’t miss the CarPlay tech.
