Welcome to my channel!
I'm Jaris, a 23 year old entrepreneur from FL currently living in Chicago. My content will include vlogging, home decor, hair and make up, and any thing else up that alley :)
For my first vlog, I thought it would be fitting to share my new journey with you all. I recently moved from the north suburbs of Chicago to downtown. I am extremely excited about my new spot and I can't wait to make it feel and look like home.

I understand, but we searched downtown chicago apartment tour and this said downtown. So when people noticed it's not in actual downtown, we're like what's up? But after reading what she said about coming from Florida, I get what she's saying lol

I bought these security bars that go under the doors, you can take the thing off on top of them and use it for your windows as well. Look into them I got them from Walmart. I lived alone in a garden apartment and wanted that extra security.

That closet with the water heater is call the utility closet sis. Your apartment is beautiful. Can’t wait to see how you make it your own. Love the accent wall in the master. Out there doing big thangs. New subscriber

Beautiful! I just moved and our apartments are quiet similar (Houston though). The bottom rack is for pants in the closet, but the top you’re absolutely right - that’s super small. Maybe you can take the pegs out the bottom and lower the shelf. SN: I’m not trying to get my energy together to unbox all this 🥴 Enjoy!! ✨

The jailhouse windows are creepy a little in the guest bedroom but the floors are ice throughout.

Sweetie, get flooding insurance and for if anything gets stolen. There’s a reasons people try to push these garden apartments. They flood easily and breaking and entering is common. Stay safe!!!

"Hood adjacent"...🤔....I learned something new today.....how much is this rent? I live on the West Coast and this apartment would be $3000-$4000

Definitely not $3-$4000. But if I had to guess, based on the area, probably between $1500-$2000 a month.

Why is it that most American homes/apartments do not have windows in their toilets/bathrooms

sho oden oh okay, I was wondering since most apartment tours on KZfaq, one never sees windows in their toilets and bathrooms, and they seem to be okay with that! In South Africa, all residential toilets and bathrooms have windows.

Building code requires a window or a ventilation system. Most owners go with a ventilation system (cheaper).

@@sariah2425 not completely true. I’ve been in Chicago all 28 years of my life. Been in the same low-end hood all 28 years of my life. I can confidently say, I am not a product of my environment. Chicago is not as terrible as folks make it out to be. So, I’m one of those few people that are not trying to leave

I want to live in a luxury apartment. My apartment is so outdated and my landlord refuse to make any updates at $1600 a month. Apartments are cheaper and updated on the West and Southside of Chicago.

Maybe she's not originally from here but this is the tri Taylor area. Which isn't downtown it's west of the loop. Probably at 10 min drive from downtown (no traffic)

I live in California and I’m very interested in moving to Chicago. What’s the city like? Is it diverse in culture and race? It Chicago as bad as everyone makes it seems? Tanzaneya it’s not as bad as people make it seem. There’s many jobs and career opportunities. Very diverse depending on where you move too. There’s many upscale places that are close to downtown to live like this one here but living in the heart of downtown is very expensive
