You are like my 21 year old son. He’s just moved into an apartment and he’s taken his bed, one set bedding, a small lounge, coffee table, (no tv), a few tshirts, one jacket, 2 jeans, underwear and socks, toiletries, one towel, one backpack, and one plate, cup, set of cutlery. Thing is though as a minimalist. you disconnect things and sentimental value. It was a hard adjustment but you jjust dont put together emotion and items. Thats how you build clutter. I keep sentimental value in my mind instead of in items ( for the most part. im still human). But if you start putting together like ( my childs first play toy) and then keeping it to remember that moment. You are adding sentimental to an object. Its better to keep the memory in head or better yet take a nice picture of it and put it in a giant scrap book. That is a huge tip.
