I have watched hundreds of hours of coaching material on KZfaq for this game and this is the first time I've heard that, but it feels very applicable to me. Thanks for the advice, Cbell and Ulti! The competitive 1v1 change is perfect because that's the best place to practice what coach was telling you there. Don't undersell your milestones. Everything can be a milestone if it's progress. Ranks may reset, but skill doesn't. However it ultimately plays out, you're doing a lot better than before. All you can do is take responsibility for the parts of the games that are you, and accept whatever outcome happens.

Hey Cbell you have really encouraged me to start playing more of rocket league and get better your videos have been so helpful and I have learned so much. Although I have a very big question to ask here’s my prompt, Im an 11 year old boy and I have been subscribed for a while now. I have been wanting pc for as long as I can remember. I’m getting really good and want to up my game and start ranking up higher. I have an Xbox but the input delay is not helping and making it harder for me to get better and do certain mechanics. I don’t need anything special I just want something that will run smoothly without much delay or lag spikes. Pls think about this and thank you for your time. honestly as an SSL i feel like just playing ranked games will help you improve much quicker than training packs or watching back replays

@@schemickuto never said it doesn't work, just that it isn't necessary. it makes for entertaining content and i do enjoy the series but it isn't practical in terms of ranking up as quickly as possible

Chausette45 is a great example of a person who's never played much RL outside of Freeplay even in his learning phases, I think that playing the game is the best way to improve for most, but there has to be a part of the player-base that needs to understand what they do wrong by seeing it and not doing it over and over.

Hey Cbell! I'm a plat 1 currently, but I've been watching your series of trying to get to SSL. You've inspired me to also try to get to SSL this season (Though it's a long stretch) but it's because I want to prove to myself that I'm more than just average at everything. Not just that but to also prove that Nintendo Switch players can also be good at rocket league, even with all the drawbacks compared to every other platform. Wait, I thought that tip was for plats and diamonds, cuz ppl above champ have all types of weird kickoff strats that just dont go with the classic flip right, flip left strat.

I wonder how much better id get if i played more 1s. My peak is SSL in 3s and and like 1820s in 2s. 1s is surprisingly high despite me not playing. I was a few games off gc2 in it so if i put more effort like you did i hope itll help me stay in ssl in both modes. Pretty inspiring!
