Happy for your new space Seth. 🎉❤Nice rig you got on your desk. 😊 May your success continue for as long as you can and as long as you enjoy it.

That's an amazing upgrade, congrats on finally getting a proper space instead of having to build everything in the bedroom/kitchen! I saw that banner at an event livestream not too long ago but I tried searching and can't find it anymore, but it was very visible and proudly displayed at the awards ceremony. Along with all the SSP kits I'm seeing everywhere you're doing so well, can't be happier for you. If you can't drill in the walls I kinda want to suggest to make a wooden framework to put in front of the wall and bolt it to the ceiling so it can't fall forward, maybe put some drywall and insulation on there for comfort but at least something you can screw stuff on, mounting stuff to the wall is essential to get any kind of organization going aside from just filling the entire room with shelves. With all the different circuits going, try and measure between the earths of all of them to see if there's any leak current going, it's really annoying to get zapped when you touch two earthed surfaces because there's like a 50v AC difference between them (can speak from experience), in some cases can even be a bit dangerous and it's pretty easy to happen when there's high-wattage devices like a washer/dryer connected to one. Preferably have a electrician check it all out before making large plans to see what you actually got instead what's rated on the circuits, the internal wiring can be absolute garbage and even though you're not flipping the breaker, the wiring can still heat up and catch on fire if you put too much load on it. Also don't forget about your personal safety! Especially in some basement with 3d printers you'd want some smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, air quality meters and maybe some active ventilation/filtration in there. And as someone who had to "safe" a workshop after the owner had passed away, put all volatiles in metal enclosed cases with clear labels, you don't know how scary it is to find a box of li-ions buried deep in pile of boxes that could've randomly ignited if left there for a long time. With great workspaces come great responsibilities!

All good advice thanks. Air quality is something I already have plans for - I have an air quality meter and a HEPA air filter device. The quality is surprisingly good even with the 2 printers running, but I'm relying on a cheap $50 meter that is only measuring formaldehyde, CO2 and TVOC numbers. I might get a participle count meter but they are pricy like $150-250+. I don't think I'm allowed to bring an electrician in to inspect the wiring aside from the rental maintanace staff. I do know that the house was built in 2015 which is very recent so I'd be shocked if it was wired poorly. There are a gagillian power outlets in every room besides the basement. And the breaker box is very clearly labeled, I tested a few breakers to ensure they were correct about the outlets being on seperate breakers.

Hey Seth, congrats on the new shop. FYI, you might want to invest in a lapel mic to cut down on the echo in that new space.

Yeah not a bad idea. I have one but I never really bother to set it up for use, normally I'm not far from the camera when recording

I am amazed by the crazy electrical mod shit you can get away with in developing nations :)

Haha. I'm avoiding making any mods that would legally require an electrician, honestly I probably have a safer approach than many other Americans do since I actually bothered to check the load ratings of these circuits.

The lighting does seem to make it very "basementy" but as usual you've got some amazing stuff in there. Do you know what your running for your pc? from that quick shot, it looked like you had some nice stuff in there.

Yup it's a fully custom PC I built. Not the fastest or new west stuff but I upgrade every few years as needed. Right now it's an RTX 2070 Super, Ryzen 5800X, 32GB Ram, and a bunch of different storage drives.

It's on the shelf! I haven't had any antweight events to attend lately. I think I'll be bringing it to an April Maker Battle event.
