Which NHL Draft should I REDRAFT Next?

Feel like dach is better than newhook at this point. Just sucks that he’s so injury prone

Would somebody mind explaining this to me. I’m a Wild fan and may be a little biased so I want to hear some other explanations. How is Boldy not the consensus #3 pick here? I put him third behind Hughes and Seider. Kid is Elite defensively, has Elite hands, and has been as good a goal scorer as Caufield so far. Obviously this could change in a couple years, but let’s be real. How long before we start to consider how these players are actually playing vs potential. Don’t get me wrong players like Cozens and Caufield are playing Great as well, but when I look at Stats I see Boldy being around the same as everyone with about 100 or so less games played and being the best defensively. Idk. Like I said. I’m trying not to be biased. That being said. I don’t think I see enough of Zegras or Cozens to compare via eye test. I do catch a lot of Habs games though because they are my second favorite team.

Good list. Here's mine: #1 Hughes to NJ - clear number one pick, better than franchise level player already. Hopefully he stays healthy. #2 Cozens to NYR - I think he and Zegras can be franchise level players. I decided to go with Cozens here because of his size and what he's accomplished this and last season. #3 Zegras to CHI - For me the best player remaining. #4 Byram to COL - Next three players might be the safer picks due to Byram's injury history, on the other hand hard to select anything else here considering how important he was for their cup run. Trade to Mittelstadt should solve some long term center depth issues. #5 Caufield to LAK - I really like the potential and they could use a goal scorer more than defense imo. But you can argue for Seider or even Boldy here. #6 Seider to DET - What a steal, he was ranked so low back then and he seems like a natural fit in Detroit. Let's keep it that way. #7 Boldy to Sabres - The best player remaining, also this means they won't have three top6 centers in the system to deal with later on. #8 Kakko to Oilers - The best player remaining imo. I think he could flourish somewhere else than Rangers and he could be a fine 2-way contributor on either McDavid or Draisaitl line (he has the skill but needs an elite center to flourish). After that it gets too difficult for me to choose. :D Guys like Pinto, Dach, Broberg, Harley, Kaliyev, Pärssinen and Knight should all hopefully have fine careers.

Didn't matter where the Wings drafted, they had the inside scoop on Seider far ahead of anyeone else. Yzerman raised his middle finger to the prognosticators and drafted who he wanted.

Great redraft! I agree with 9 out of the 10 names. I would put Dach before Knight and Newhook based on what he has shown when healthy. But then how you quantify injury is also up for debate :) I would also change the mid order a bit between Byram Boldy and cozens in term of impact that has been displayed on the ice, but Byram is an interesting one has he never had much top 2/4 big minutes opportunity playing in a stack Avs team vs Minny and Buffalo!

Bro Zegras to the rangers? Two right defensemen isn’t a good idea, we already have Trouba, Schneider, Lindgren and K’Andre miller we need more offense the defense is already stacked

Have some fun and look for the Rags fan video of their draft party where they celebrate like they won the Cup once the Devils took Hughes meaning they’d get Kakko.

With Podkolzin he just got called up recently while leading the AHL Canucks in goals, and has improved his defense, his forchecking and his style that Rick Tocchet will love about him and the Canucks haven't lost a game with him in the line up. Its only a matter of time before he puts in his first of the season because he's been playing so incredibly well with his short time with the Canucks That say, i think pairing Kakko with Hoglander or Petterson would definately help his game a lotI wasnt expecting Teemu Selanne with Kakko but definally expected more than 100 points in 5 seasons with the kid. I think he will find his game however.... but I am not sure if it will be with the Rangers.

Im taking Dach over newhook and kakko. He was dominant before his injury and he is easily a second line forward right now if he can stop being injured

i think Boldy and Caufeild should be swapped honestly. Boldy is not only an absolutely natural goal scorer with beautiful hands, but hes also GREAT physically and fantastic defensively.
