It takes time lad, new handler and surroundings etc etc. The bull showed he was stressed, rather than angry by wanting to get away. Keep him inside for a few days, as you have and with company and he'll settle. I've been breeding bulls for years and yes I've got caught out by a few.

I had a similar encounter in March when I bought myself some young heifers - they got loose and went through about 4 fields, through a river and then towards a railway track. Honestly one of the most stressful/exhausting 6 hours of my life to date. If it wasn't for the local farmers who gave me a hand, I'd probably still be chasing them around today to be honest! Glad all safe and sound in the end for you guys also

I am farming in NZ...it amazes me how up in their faces you guys get. You all make me nervous leading bulls up into your little trailers...or wherever...my mind boggles at the chances of things going bad. I used to farm bulls for hamburgers so I know all about their tricks. We had 300 on in mobs of 25. A different beast to your sire bulls. But just to let you know I am so impressed with the general docility of your bulls. Well done Crawford getting Native back under control. And I hope you understand now they all have personality and character and stuff is going on in their brains like it is in ours. They get fed up. Scared. Nothing scares a bull like another bull. If you get in the way of two fighting...hmm you are like a flea ...they will squash you as if you werent there. Love your videos.

It happens mate, it can happen with any animal, I had ram lamb penned up over night last week ready to go to Slaughter when loading one just lost it ramed my legs (big bruise🤦‍♂️) and jumped the hurdles (larma hurdles). I have been in out of the field with them for a year no issues. It’s just a shock to the system and you learn from it. As you said know one hurt. Another great video 👍

I got roughed up by a big Ayrshire bull, many years ago, he didn't hurt me much, but it was scary. He unfortunately thought it it was fun, and started going for people on a regular basis. After he'd attacked the vet, twice, once quite badly, he had to go. Didn't blame him tho, because it was found that he had a brain tumour, so could have been in pain, which made him grumpy.

No one hurt which is most important thing. And as you say Crawford lessens learnt

Worked with Ayrshire bulls many years ago. Often nasty and used long rope and on occasions a tattie bag (blindfold) when moving them to and from the float.

I don't know cattle, but horses can also do that & pull away. He didn't seem to want to hurt anyone, but guess sheer size is a dangerous aspect.

I've heard about alot of case's like this! We bought a lim bull from a society sale where a young child about 14 had handled the bull that day at the show and sale. When we brought him home he was an absolute danger! Bending the gate trying to come at us! 2 hour's after a 14year old had walked it. Something very funny about it all! If I ever done it again I would be getting a blood test on arrival at home to check all was well!🤨

Everytime we buy cattle we always leave them in the shed for a week to let them get familiar with new surroundings and people etc. Best of luck with him. I hate the sight of Euro your Angus bull but atleast you know he is dodgy. Cant be careful enough when it comes to bulls.

What's your plans with him might be difficult to just mix him with the other bulls and cows plus how will you know if he does work. He might not work but the other bulls will take up the slack I've seen it before with multiple bulls and rams with females

Hello I would agree with you about don't trust a bull I like to tell you what happened to me ! When I was a farm hand many years ago my old boss had a call about his bull in another farmer field and I was told to go and get him when I did I was told to walk along the field hedge I was walking along and I heard shutting and when I turned I was the bull running at me I had to jump though the hedge to get away from him
