My Nintendo Wii U Collection - Gone But Not Forgotten! - 50+ Games!!

The Wii U was a system that struggled to say the least. Nintendo had a hard time communicating what made it so unique and consumers had a hard time undertsanding what made it unique. For those of us that did end up getting a Wii U though and experiencing what it had to offer, we were treated to some insanely fun times despite some droughts here and there. I just wanted reminisce and go through my Wii U collection and talk about what made this console so special. I'll miss ya Wii U!

I still think couch multiplayer died off in a big way with the Wii U. What an awesome trip down memory lane and I loved hearing about some of the games I regrettably missed out on like Game & Wario, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, and NES Remix. Also one thing I hadn't considered until now; I think the reason Super Mario 3D World on Wii U had slow movement was to facilitate the co-op. I've always found co-op platformers to be finicky especially when two people with very different skill levels are playing together. I'm still glad they made the Switch version faster but I did have enough good multiplayer fun with it on Wii U for me to appreciate that slower pace. Also loved hearing you vouch for Star Fox Zero and the Wii U version of Pikmin 3!

Nintendo is definitely still trying with the Switch but nothing has hit even close to the same way games like Nintendo Land and others did on the Wii U in terms of local multiplayer. If you ever get the chance, definitely give Game & Wario a shot with friends! And you may be right about Super Mario 3D World. That was one game I never got around to really playing with friends so I wonder if my mindset would be different had I done so. That being said I do think the faster movement speed in the Switch version can play into the wackiness of the multiplayer a lot. I'm all about the chaos lol

Yeah there was honestly SO much content in Devil's Third's multiplayer. You could unlock tons of outfits, there were a bunch of modes, you could create clans... it was pretty crazy.

I bought my Wii U this year, but i love it and the good games it had, were really great. I love these collection tours aswell, loving the channel

Appreciate you watching as always! And yeah, idk why but the Wii U just feels like a fun console to use. Maybe it's cause of the tablet controller but I really enjoy it!

The most i remember of Amiibo Festival was the stacks apond stacks of copies at the Walmart clearance bins..and the Giant Bomb 3+hr video of the crew playing it..and being absolutely miserable.

I only have 12 but only 4 are working and two of them are pretty cheap Lego games, the other two are paper Mario color splash and new super Luigi u. At least I kept some of my favourites.

Sadly, I had to give away each and every game I owned on that system. However, I bought each and every first party port that made its way to Switch. No exceptions, the library was worth it.

Thankfully most of the best stuff is on Switch now! I'll always keep my Wii U for backwards compatibility and games like Nintendo Land though!

"People didn't know what it was" 😂😂 Still milking that cow. Most people knew what it was, they just didn't want it. They were happy with the Wii and Wiiu was just a slight upgrade. Again people didn't want it.

It was a generational upgrade in terms of tech. I think it's pretty clear the system was poorly marketed and that was a big reason for its poor sales. I'm sure some of it is also just people not wanting it as well but Nintendo did themselves no favors.
